- • As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a pivotal member of our Global Core Infrastructure team, collaborating with engineers across the EU, US, and international regions to architect, scale, and secure the robust systems that underpin Workato’s automation platform. This platform is trusted by thousands of enterprises and processes billions of events daily, making your role critical to our continued success.
- • This is a highly technical position focused on the architecture, scalability, and reliability of Workato’s distributed cloud platform. You will be instrumental in designing and optimizing the systems that ensure our services operate securely and efficiently at an immense scale.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the end-to-end lifecycle of our global, distributed, and resilient cloud infrastructure. This includes the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of these critical systems.
- • You will work in close partnership with our US-based engineering teams, contributing to the planning and execution of complex, large-scale platform initiatives that drive innovation and operational excellence.
- • A key aspect of this role involves the meticulous patching and optimization of open-source components. This ensures peak performance, enhanced security, and the overall health of our infrastructure.
- • You will leverage your deep understanding of Linux internals to develop low-level internal services, utilizing Linux syscalls and networking primitives to build foundational components.
- • You will be responsible for managing and provisioning our AWS infrastructure, employing industry-leading tools such as Terraform for infrastructure as code and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- • Crafting and maintaining Kubernetes manifests and deployment configurations will be a core duty, ensuring the reliable deployment of critical workloads across our clusters.
- • You will play a vital role in improving and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, focusing on enabling scalable, secure, and efficient component delivery to production environments.
- • A significant part of your contribution will involve tuning Linux systems and open-source software to achieve high performance and hardened security, essential for a platform processing sensitive enterprise data.
- • You will be tasked with building and deploying internal tools designed to streamline engineering workflows, automate operational tasks, and enhance overall team productivity.
- • Active participation in architecture reviews is expected, providing valuable insights and technical guidance to ensure our infrastructure designs are robust, scalable, and future-proof.

🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering roles.
- • Proven expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
- • Strong understanding of Linux internals, including networking and system-level performance tuning.
- • Experience operating infrastructure on AWS at scale.
- • Proficiency with Terraform and Kubernetes.
- • Solid understanding of network security and cloud security best practices.
- • Hands-on experience optimizing CI/CD workflows and automating deployments.
- • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- • Experience with Golang for tooling or internal services (Nice to Have).
- • Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies (Nice to Have).
- • Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or VictoriaMetrics (Nice to Have).
- • Understanding of Vault or other secrets management systems (Nice to Have).
