Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Join Techholding as a Senior Integration Engineer (Contractor) and become the linchpin that turns ambitious digital roadmaps into production-grade realities for Fortune-50 enterprises and high-growth startups alike. You will architect, build, and harden the data and application integrations that power mission-critical platforms, ensuring every API handshake, message queue, and ETL pipeline is resilient, observable, and secure.
- • Own the end-to-end integration lifecycle—from requirements discovery with C-suite stakeholders through deployment into multi-region, auto-scaling environments. You will translate complex business processes into elegant technical designs, then roll up your sleeves to write clean, testable code that stands up to the scrutiny of both auditors and 3 a.m. incident pages.
- • Design and implement event-driven and request/response integration patterns using REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS). You will select the right protocol, serialization format, and retry strategy for each use case, balancing latency, throughput, and cost while keeping the architecture cloud-agnostic.
- • Establish enterprise-grade security and governance controls: OAuth2 / OIDC flows, mTLS, field-level encryption, PII tokenization, and fine-grained IAM policies. You will embed compliance checkpoints (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, SOC 2) into CI/CD pipelines so that every release is provably compliant before it reaches staging.
- • Build reusable integration frameworks and accelerators that cut future delivery timelines by 30–50 %. You will package Terraform modules, Helm charts, and GitHub Actions workflows into an internal “Integration SDK” that junior engineers can consume with confidence.
- • Instrument everything for observability: distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry, centralized structured logging, custom Prometheus metrics, and anomaly detection alerts. When latency p99 creeps above 250 ms or error budgets burn, you will be the first to know—and the first to fix.
- • Lead blameless post-mortems and chaos-engineering game days to harden systems against region outages, dependency failures, and traffic spikes. Your runbooks and Terraform automation will shrink MTTR from hours to minutes.
- • Collaborate daily with cross-functional squads of product managers, UX designers, data scientists, and DevOps engineers in a fully remote, async-first culture. You will facilitate architecture decision records (ADRs) and present design reviews that turn skeptics into champions.
- • Mentor mid-level engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and lunch-and-learn sessions. Your feedback will level-up the entire integration practice, creating a talent pipeline that scales with Techholding’s growth.
- • Contribute to pre-sales pursuits by scoping integration work, estimating effort, and articulating trade-offs to clients’ CTOs and procurement teams. Your credibility will directly influence multi-million-dollar deal closures.
- • Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating emerging technologies—think WebAssembly sidecars, eBPF observability, or zero-copy serialization—and running controlled pilots that inform Techholding’s long-term technical strategy.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years designing and delivering cloud-native integrations on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with deep expertise in serverless, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK)
- • Proven track record of building secure, high-throughput APIs and event streams that handle 10k+ TPS with sub-second latency and 99.9 % uptime
- • Hands-on proficiency in at least two enterprise integration platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, Tibco, or Kafka Connect) and polyglot programming (Java, Python, Go, or Node.js)
- • Strong grasp of distributed-systems theory: CAP theorem, idempotency, saga patterns, eventual consistency, and backpressure strategies
- • Nice-to-have: certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote, async-first culture with flexible hours and no core-meeting windows, so you can work from anywhere with a stable internet connection
- • Competitive contractor rates paid bi-weekly, with the option to convert to full-time employment after 6 months if mutually desired
- • Annual $2,500 professional-development stipend for courses, conferences, or certifications, plus paid time off to attend
- • Access to Techholding’s internal “Integration Guild” Slack community and bi-weekly architecture roundtables for peer learning and networking
