📋 Description

• Architect and deliver high-impact iOS features that directly shape how 750 million weekly viewers discover, watch, and interact with content on JioHotstar. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of critical modules—from ideation and technical design to release and post-launch optimization—ensuring every frame renders at 60 fps and every interaction feels instantaneous.
• Champion performance and stability across the entire iOS codebase. You will instrument, profile, and tune memory, CPU, and network usage using Instruments, MetricKit, and custom telemetry. By establishing SLIs/SLOs and automated regression gates in CI/CD, you will drive measurable improvements that cut crash rates, reduce launch times, and eliminate jank, turning raw metrics into delight for users on low-end devices and flagship phones alike.
• Lead large-scale modernization initiatives that migrate legacy Objective-C and UIKit code to modern Swift, SwiftUI, and Combine. You will design migration strategies that minimize risk, preserve feature parity, and unlock new platform capabilities such as Swift Concurrency, Metal shaders for video effects, and on-device ML inference with Core ML and Vision.
• Build reusable frameworks and shared components that accelerate feature delivery across multiple squads. From networking layers with declarative concurrency to player controls that adapt to HDR, Dolby Atmos, and dynamic ad insertion, your libraries will become the foundation on which every new experience is built.
• Establish and evangelize engineering best practices: modular architecture (MVVM-C, TCA, or Clean Swift), unit/UI snapshot testing with 90 % coverage, modular build graphs using SPM and Bazel, and automated release pipelines via GitHub Actions or Buildkite. You will write and review code daily, raising the bar for readability, testability, and performance.
• Collaborate deeply with product managers, designers, ML engineers, and backend teams to translate ambitious product visions into pixel-perfect, accessible experiences. You will prototype new interaction paradigms—gesture-based scrubbing, spatial audio cues, real-time polls—validating them through A/B tests and user research before scaling to millions.
• Mentor and grow the next generation of iOS talent. Through pair programming, brown-bag sessions, and internal tech talks, you will share knowledge on advanced Swift patterns, performance tuning, and emerging Apple frameworks. Your influence will extend beyond code to shape a culture of curiosity, craftsmanship, and psychological safety.
• Contribute to the broader iOS community. Whether publishing technical blogs, speaking at conferences, or open-sourcing components, you will amplify JioStar’s reputation as an innovation leader while giving back to the ecosystem that powers our platform.

🎯 Requirements

• 4–7 years of professional iOS development with expert-level Swift and solid Objective-C fluency
• Proven ability to profile and optimize performance using Instruments, MetricKit, and custom telemetry
• Deep understanding of iOS architectural patterns (MVVM, MVVM-C, TCA, Clean Swift) and modern concurrency (GCD, OperationQueue, Swift Concurrency)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Buildkite, or similar) and automated testing (XCTest, XCUITest, snapshot testing)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
