- • Lead the end-to-end close and reporting cycle for designated areas, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in a high-growth environment.
- • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis, setting standards for quality and driving process improvements across accounting operations.
- • Own balance sheet integrity by conducting root-cause analysis of variances and leading remediation of control and process gaps.
- • Partner with Strategic Finance/FP&A to deliver clear financial narratives and improve forecast-to-close connectivity through enhanced collaboration and data alignment.
- • Work with Business Systems to optimize Oracle Fusion ERP workflows, automate controls, and enhance data integrity through system integrations.
- • Support accounting for acquisitions, system migrations, and new business launches, including close integration planning and readiness assessments.
- • Design, implement, and own SOX-ready processes and controls, ensuring audit readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- • Manage external audit and advisory interactions, including PBC preparation, issue resolution, and liaison with auditors.
- • Identify and drive automation opportunities using AI and system enhancements to streamline manual accounting and reporting tasks.
- • Contribute to finance transformation initiatives by standardizing processes, enhancing systems, and designing scalable operating models.
- • Operate as a key leader in controllership, balancing hands-on technical accounting with strategic process design to influence systems architecture and financial data integrity.
- • Thrive in a hybrid work model (3 days in office per week) with relocation assistance available for new employees in San Francisco.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles in high-growth environments.
- • Demonstrated experience in pre-IPO and/or public company accounting environments.
- • Prior ownership of close, reporting, and controllership processes at scale.
- • Deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP with strong judgment in complex accounting areas.
- • Proven experience implementing or operating in a SOX-controlled environment.
- • Strong proficiency in Oracle Fusion ERP (or comparable large-scale ERP systems).
- • CPA (required).
