📋 Description

• Embed within one of Jerry’s core business units — Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships — to own the analytical function end-to-end for that domain.
• Define the right business questions before initiating analysis, pushing back on flawed or misaligned questions to ensure focus on high-impact decisions.
• Build and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports using SQL (ClickHouse), Metabase, Python, and Jupyter Hub to track key performance indicators and surface actionable insights.
• Design and execute data-driven experiments to test hypotheses, measure outcomes, and inform product, marketing, or operational decisions.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, persuasive recommendations that drive leadership decisions and cross-functional alignment.
• Own the execution of initiatives from insight to impact — not just delivering analysis, but driving implementation alongside product, growth, tech, and operations teams.
• Act as a first-principles problem solver: break down ambiguous, high-stakes business challenges into testable hypotheses before touching data.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders across departments to ensure analytical work directly informs strategic priorities and operational execution.
• Identify and resolve data quality or structural issues that hinder decision-making, taking ownership even when issues lie outside your formal scope.
• Communicate findings with precision and clarity — writing concisely, speaking directly, and never burying the lede — to gain buy-in from skeptical or senior stakeholders.
• Operate with an owner’s mindset: treat every broken process, missed opportunity, or underperforming metric as your responsibility to fix, regardless of organizational boundaries.
• Avoid unnecessary slides, meetings, or corporate processes; focus exclusively on work that materially moves the needle toward scaling from 5M to 50M customers.
• Work in a lean, high-autonomy environment with no bureaucracy, no fluff, and no waiting for approvals — decisions are driven by data and urgency.
• Contribute to building a scalable analytics function that supports Jerry’s expansion into new verticals including home, motorcycle, and RV ownership.
• Use GitHub for version control of analytical code and collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure reproducibility and maintainability of analyses.
• Drive business outcomes by connecting data insights to tangible results: increased customer acquisition, improved retention, optimized pricing, or expanded partnerships.
• Maintain a relentless focus on impact: only pursue analyses that directly influence critical business decisions or key metrics.
• Operate with intellectual curiosity and a hunger for learning, treating every problem as an opportunity to deepen understanding of customer behavior, market dynamics, or operational efficiency.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth technology company
• Strong analytical skills with ability to independently pull, structure, and interpret data using SQL, Excel, or Python
• Proven track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering measurable business impact
• Clear, persuasive communication skills with ability to influence leadership-level decisions
• Experience embedding within product, growth, or operations teams to drive data-informed outcomes
• Comfort with tools including SQL (ClickHouse), Metabase, Python, Jupyter Hub, and GitHub
