- • Ping Identity is seeking a visionary Senior Manager, Business Transformation, Digital Product Management to spearhead the evolution of our internal business applications and operating model. This pivotal role, the first dedicated product manager for internal business applications within Ping’s Business Transformation Office (BTO), is instrumental in driving digital freedom internally by ensuring our core business processes are as secure and seamless as the solutions we provide to our customers. You will be the architect of change, owning and refining the Buyer Journey value stream, which encompasses lead and opportunity management, Quote-to-Cash processes, and all related Go-to-Market strategies. Your leadership will ensure that our technology and business processes are not just functional, but are actively contributing to Ping Identity's strategic objectives and fostering an environment of innovation and efficiency.
- • In this dynamic role, you will be the primary product manager, acting as the crucial bridge between our business stakeholders and our Information Systems teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve defining and maintaining a clear, transparent, and outcome-based roadmap that meticulously connects overarching business goals with prioritized epics and features. This roadmap will span across Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Finance, Product, Customer Experience, and Information Systems, ensuring a unified vision and execution. A core tenet of your approach will be to "start with the problem, not the solution." You will lead in-depth discovery sessions to thoroughly clarify the 'why' behind initiatives and their intended outcomes, always maintaining a strong outside-in focus on the experiences of buyers, sellers, and partners before committing to specific technology solutions. This will involve facilitating collaborative whiteboarding and brainstorming sessions with business stakeholders to co-create innovative options, uncover latent needs, and anticipate future impacts. You will then partner with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), architects, and Information Systems partners to shape and propose viable solution options, serving as a trusted advisor who enables business outcomes rather than simply fulfilling requirements.
- • You will drive delivery and ensure accountability for outcomes from the initial epic definition through to launch and stabilization. This involves close collaboration with project managers, scrum teams, Business Analysts, Information Systems, and Enterprise Architecture. Your role is to bridge strategy and execution, translating company-wide priorities and Executive Leadership directives into a clear, sequenced delivery plan for the Buyer Journey value stream. This includes facilitating alignment forums, managing trade-off discussions, and ensuring that all decisions are reflected in the roadmaps, epics, and team backlogs. Furthermore, you will lead and coach the Buyer Journey team, providing day-to-day direction to Business Analysts and acting as a visible leader for the entire Buyer Journey scrum team. You will guide the shaping of user stories, maintain a healthy backlog, and advise on Agile delivery best practices, such as work slicing, readiness, and ceremonies, ensuring that process maps, requirements, and delivery plans directly support the roadmap and the outcomes you own. Finally, you will be responsible for measuring and communicating the impact of your initiatives. This includes defining and tracking clear business outcome metrics, such as lead-to-cash cycle time, quote/approval SLAs, renewal velocity, and pipeline hygiene. You will leverage data and telemetry to refine priorities and, when necessary, build simple, compelling business cases that clearly articulate the expected impact of your recommendations on revenue, efficiency, risk, or customer and partner experience.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of Ping Identity's internal digital transformation. You will have the chance to build and own an internal product that directly shapes how the company sells, forecasts, and grows. By combining strategy, delivery, process optimization, and compelling storytelling, you will significantly influence the company's operational effectiveness and market position. You will gain invaluable experience in leading cross-functional teams, driving complex initiatives within a B2B SaaS environment, and mastering Agile product management methodologies. The role provides a platform to develop your leadership and influence skills, particularly in a matrixed environment, and to make a tangible impact on business outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and develop other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Business Transformation Office.
- • Ping Identity is a leader in the intelligent, cloud identity platform space, enabling secure and seamless digital experiences for users worldwide. The company is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with a global presence, serving over half of the Fortune 100. Ping Identity is committed to fostering a culture of digital freedom, where employees are empowered to bring their authentic selves to work and celebrate individuality. The Business Transformation Office is a critical function dedicated to enhancing the company's internal operations and operating model, ensuring that Ping Identity remains agile, efficient, and at the cutting edge of cybersecurity and identity management. This role is an opportunity to join a growing, innovative company that values its employees and is dedicated to making a difference in the digital world.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years in product management / product ownership for internal business applications in B2B SaaS or similarly complex environments, with a track record owning end-to-end, cross-functional roadmaps and multi-quarter initiatives across Go-to-Market, Customer Experience, and Finance.
- • Deep expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud, CPQ, AgentForce or similar CRM/CPQ ecosystems and quote-to-cash processes, plus strong familiarity with Agile and product operating models (value streams, epic/story readiness, quarterly planning, outcome-based roadmapping).
- • An outcome- and problem-first mindset and genuine interest in Ping’s mission and market position, with the ability to translate strategy into pragmatic priorities and scale Business Transformation capabilities at the pace the company needs.
- • An entrepreneurial, self-directed approach — comfortable being the first in the role, designing and right-sizing new processes, gaining stakeholder buy-in, and iterating based on a deep understanding of the problems and outcomes you’re solving for.
- • A strong track record of leading through influence in matrixed environments — aligning senior stakeholders around shared outcomes and trade-offs, and building success through partnership over heroics.
- • Excellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills — including visual storytelling (decks, flows, options, trade-offs, roadmaps) and process mapping workshops that clarify handoffs, align teams, and support high-quality decisions on scope, priorities, and change impacts.
