Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own and evolve Press Ganey’s global cloud strategy: define multi-year roadmaps for Azure (primary) and AWS (secondary) that balance cost, performance, security, and scalability while supporting 99.9 % uptime SLAs for products that process millions of patient-experience data points daily.
  • • Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of 8-12 platform operations engineers, site-reliability engineers, and DevOps specialists; conduct weekly 1:1s, quarterly growth plans, and annual performance reviews that tie individual OKRs to company OKRs.
  • • Architect and deliver next-generation cloud landing zones, landing-zone subscriptions, and resource hierarchies that enforce governance, policy-as-code, and least-privilege access across dev, staging, and production environments.
  • • Drive infrastructure-as-code excellence: champion Terraform modules, Azure Bicep, and Ansible playbooks that are version-controlled, peer-reviewed, and automatically validated in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps) before promotion.
  • • Establish and monitor KPIs for cloud cost optimization; implement automated rightsizing, reserved-instance purchasing, and policy-driven shutdown schedules that have historically saved 20 %+ in annual cloud spend.
  • • Partner with Security & Compliance to embed CIS, HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC 2 controls into every layer of the stack—from network micro-segmentation to container image scanning—ensuring zero-critical findings in quarterly audits.
  • • Oversee 24Ă—7 incident-response and post-mortem culture: define SLOs/SLIs, automate runbooks, and lead blameless retrospectives that convert outages into systemic improvements and shared learning.
  • • Collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to design scalable data pipelines (Databricks, Synapse, Kafka) that ingest, transform, and serve petabyte-scale experience data with sub-second query latency.
  • • Champion DevSecOps best practices: integrate SAST/DAST, container scanning, secrets management (Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault), and policy-as-code (OPA, Azure Policy) into every pull request.
  • • Build and maintain hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centers and Azure via ExpressRoute and VPN, ensuring seamless workload migration and disaster-recovery failover within RPO/RTO targets.
  • • Create executive-level dashboards (Power BI, Datadog, Azure Cost Management) that translate technical metrics into business impact stories for C-suite stakeholders.
  • • Foster an inclusive, continuous-learning culture: sponsor internal guilds, lunch-and-learns, and certification programs that have yielded 3Ă— Azure expert certifications in the past year.
  • • Stay ahead of the curve: evaluate emerging services (e.g., Azure Container Apps, AWS EKS Blueprints) and run proof-of-concepts that inform quarterly technology radar updates.
  • • Represent Press Ganey at industry conferences, webinars, and open-source communities, amplifying our thought-leadership in cloud engineering for healthcare and experience analytics.
