- • As Senior Manager of Cyber Defense at Covey Technologies, Inc., you will lead the US-based Cyber Defense team to protect DoorDash’s global operations—including its international brands Deliveroo and Wolt—by building proactive threat detection, AI-driven automation, and rapid incident response capabilities that safeguard consumers, merchants, and Dashers across a three-sided marketplace.
- • You will develop and implement a strategic roadmap for continuous improvement of the Cyber Defense team’s capabilities, including building new functional areas centered on automation and AI; lead the end-to-end response to information security incidents—including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery; serve as executive support for Americas-timezone business and Legal during escalations, often acting as Incident Commander in high-profile cases; define, monitor, and report KPIs and SLAs for internal teams and external vendors; develop, maintain, and execute global incident response plans and playbooks; collect and analyze threat intelligence using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and NIST to proactively identify emerging risks; and hire, mentor, and train security engineers while fostering a culture of continuous learning, resilience, knowledge sharing, and sustainable work practices.
- • You will join a global Security team spanning the US, UK, EU, and India, responsible for proactive security, cyber defense, GRC, enterprise security, and physical safety; this team is integral to DoorDash’s mission of securing data and protecting privacy across its marketplace, enabling trust and reliability for consumers, merchants, and Dashers worldwide.
- • You will gain deep expertise in leading global cyber defense operations at scale, mastering the integration of AI and automation into security operations, influencing enterprise-wide security strategy across multiple international brands, and developing leadership skills in managing distributed, follow-the-sun teams while driving innovation in threat hunting and incident response—positioning you as a strategic security leader in a high-growth, mission-critical technology environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in information security with proven people management experience, including direct leadership of Incident Response, Incident Management, Investigations, and Threat Hunt functions.
- • Experience working with global partners in a follow-the-sun model across time zones (US, UK, EU, India), demonstrating ability to coordinate and lead distributed teams effectively.
- • Excellent understanding of information security operations frameworks and standards, including MITRE ATT&CK and NIST, with ability to apply them to threat detection, incident response, and risk mitigation.
- • Understanding and active engagement with emerging technologies surrounding large language models (LLMs), including their security implications and potential use in automation and threat analysis.
- • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a people-first leadership approach that facilitates dialogue, embraces divergent viewpoints, and fosters psychological safety and collaboration.

- • Competitive base salary range of $231,200 to $340,000 USD, localized to work location, with additional opportunities for equity grants.
