- • Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced predictive models for credit risk, collections, and operations using machine learning and statistical techniques.
- • Integrate cutting-edge ML methods including ensemble models, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP) into production systems to drive business outcomes.
- • Mentor and guide junior and peer-level data scientists, fostering technical growth and analytical excellence across the team.
- • Promote the adoption of modern data science tools, platforms, and MLOps practices to enhance model reliability, scalability, and reproducibility.
- • Present complex analytical insights and model recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.
- • Drive experimentation with emerging techniques such as causal inference and generative AI to expand the organization’s predictive capabilities.
- • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for predictive modeling and machine learning initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- • Lead cross-functional projects that integrate analytics into core business processes across credit, collections, and operations.
- • Oversee the full lifecycle of high-impact models—from development and validation to deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
- • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on data science innovation, model governance, and long-term analytics strategy.
- • Represent the Predictive Analytics function in regulatory, audit, and compliance forums to ensure adherence to financial industry standards.
- • Build and maintain strong partnerships across departments to embed data-driven decision-making into organizational workflows.
- • Work remotely with occasional planned travel to the Southfield, Michigan office; option to work from the office if desired.
- • Maintain compliance with company policies, legal guidelines, and regulatory requirements in all modeling and analytical activities.
- • Contribute to a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement through direct communication, resiliency, and ethical AI practices.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field
- • 8+ years of experience in predictive modeling and analytics (Senior Manager)
- • 10+ years of experience in predictive modeling and machine learning (Director)
- • 6+ years of experience applying ML in production environments (Senior Manager)
- • 6+ years of experience leading strategic initiatives or mentoring senior-level peers (Director)
- • Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and statistical tools (e.g., R, SAS)
