- • As a Senior Manager of Driver Operations at Mapbox, you will build and scale a global driver operations program that directly enhances the quality of navigation products by bridging real-world driving data with product development.
- • You will lead hiring, training, and management of a full-time Driver Operations team while coordinating a network of local resources to support testing across key global markets.
- • You will partner with Product and Engineering teams to design and execute in-car test plans, manage customer-facing demos, and ensure high-quality feedback loops from field testing to engineering.
- • You will define KPIs, analyze test data from videos, logs, and traces, and create actionable reports and dashboards to drive continuous software improvement.
- • You will manage a small international fleet of vehicles, overseeing logistics, compliance, insurance, and regulatory requirements across regions.
- • You will foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and data-driven decision-making while traveling approximately once per month to support global testing and customer engagements.
- • Mapbox is a leading real-time location platform used by over 4 million developers, powering navigation and location-based experiences for industries ranging from automotive to logistics through flexible, secure, and privacy-compliant tools.
- • The Navigation team solves complex geospatial challenges using algorithms and statistical analysis to enable turn-by-turn navigation, delivery route planning, and other mission-critical functions for customers worldwide.
- • You will work at the intersection of operations and product, ensuring Mapbox’s technology performs reliably in real-world conditions across diverse geographies and use cases.
- • You will have the opportunity to shape scalable processes, influence product quality, and lead cross-functional initiatives that impact millions of end-users relying on Mapbox-powered navigation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of operations and/or program management experience, preferably in fleet or field operations with multi-location team leadership.
- • Proficiency in SQL and strong analytical skills to interpret driving data, generate actionable insights, and support product improvement.
- • Excellent communication abilities to convey technical concepts to engineers, executives, and external partners, including comfort with live demos and customer-facing presentations.
- • Demonstrated skill in managing ambiguity, prioritizing competing demands, and driving initiatives to completion in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- • Proven organizational and execution strength, with experience building scalable processes, measurement frameworks, and operational infrastructure.
- • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, influence without authority, and foster trust in highly matrixed, cross-functional teams.
