  • • Spearhead the end-to-end product ownership for assigned Individual and Family Plan (IFP) markets, ensuring comprehensive plan outcomes from conception through post-launch performance.
  • • Define and execute the overarching strategy for IFP plans, translating market dynamics, regulatory mandates, and organizational growth objectives into detailed, actionable product designs.
  • • Lead the intricate process of plan design, meticulously considering benefits, cost-sharing structures, and network configurations, while maintaining a delicate balance between an exceptional member experience, financial sustainability, and operational feasibility.
  • • Proactively identify emerging design opportunities and potential risks within the IFP landscape by continuously analyzing market trends, competitive intelligence, and performance data.
  • • Leverage a robust combination of quantitative and qualitative data to inform and validate design decisions, ensuring that strategies are data-driven and responsive to market shifts.
  • • Serve as the primary product owner for all assigned market filings, orchestrating seamless collaboration across critical cross-functional teams including Actuarial, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Operations, and Technology to guarantee accurate and timely submission.
  • • Ensure absolute fidelity between the designed plan features, the official regulatory filings, the underlying IT systems, and all member-facing communications and materials.
  • • Drive comprehensive plan-level Quality Assurance (QA) processes and readiness reviews, meticulously identifying and rectifying any design flaws or execution defects before launch.
  • • Proactively escalate significant risks to senior leadership, providing clear, concise recommendations supported by thorough analysis and data-driven insights.
  • • Collaborate closely with Market Directors and the Actuarial team to establish robust monitoring frameworks for plan performance immediately following launch.
  • • Conduct in-depth root-cause analyses for any instances of underperformance, developing and implementing effective corrective actions to bring plans back on track.
  • • Systematically capture and integrate learnings from post-launch performance into future plan development cycles and strategic portfolio discussions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • • Act as a key liaison between product development and market execution teams, ensuring alignment and smooth transitions throughout the product lifecycle.
  • • Contribute to the development of innovative insurance solutions that meet the evolving needs of individuals and families in the healthcare market.
  • • Champion the Oscar mission of transforming healthcare by creating a more accessible, affordable, and user-friendly insurance experience.
  • • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across various departments to ensure successful product launches and ongoing plan management.
  • • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting the IFP insurance market.
  • • Contribute to the strategic roadmap for Oscar's IFP product offerings, identifying areas for growth and differentiation.
  • • Prepare and present regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and achieve key objectives.

  • • Develop business cases for new product initiatives and enhancements, supported by market research and financial projections.
  • • Oversee the successful implementation of new plan designs and features across all relevant systems and platforms.
  • • Monitor member feedback and operational data to identify areas for product enhancement and member experience improvement.
