  • • DuckDuckGo, the leading online protection company, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Integrated Media Planner to join our remote-first Marketing & Communications (Marcom) team. This pivotal role is instrumental in driving profitable user acquisition and empowering millions to regain control of their personal information online. As a key member of a growing, mission-driven organization, you will have the unique opportunity to shape and execute integrated media strategies across a diverse range of channels, from traditional television and radio to cutting-edge Connected TV (CTV), YouTube, and Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising.
  • • You will be entrusted with end-to-end ownership of integrated media plans, from initial development and strategic planning through to meticulous execution and rigorous performance analysis. This includes developing campaigns that not only build product awareness but also directly contribute to profitable new customer acquisition. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and leveraging opportunities across both brand-building and direct response objectives, ensuring a cohesive and impactful marketing approach.
  • • A core responsibility of this role involves leading the reporting and analysis of campaign performance. You will be adept at translating complex data into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations. This analytical prowess will be essential in securing buy-in from stakeholders for strategic optimizations, ensuring that our media investments are continuously refined for maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
  • • Beyond campaign management, you will play a critical role in building and optimizing the foundational infrastructure for our media buying operations. This encompasses developing robust measurement frameworks, cultivating strategic vendor partnerships, meticulously documenting processes, and implementing comprehensive team training programs. The goal is to enhance the speed, accuracy, and overall strategic impact of our media initiatives.
  • • As a Senior Integrated Media Planner, your mandate will be to scale DuckDuckGo's presence across both established and emerging media channels. You will achieve this by implementing streamlined processes that significantly improve campaign velocity and efficiency, all while maintaining a sharp focus on the profitable growth of our user base.
  • • You will manage media agency relationships with a high degree of autonomy and expertise, overseeing the entire lifecycle from initial briefings and rigorous negotiations to ongoing performance reviews and strategic optimization. This includes developing and refining media mix strategies to maximize Return on Investment (ROI) and constructing sophisticated measurement frameworks that effectively link brand awareness efforts to tangible user acquisition outcomes.
  • • This role demands a deep understanding of various media landscapes. You will possess hands-on expertise in planning and managing campaigns across TV, CTV, YouTube, and offline channels, with a proven track record of profitably scaling both brands and user growth. Your knowledge of linear TV buying, programmatic and reserved buy CTV, YouTube reservation versus auction dynamics, and offline media planning for large national multi-channel campaigns will be invaluable.
  • • You will be instrumental in designing cohesive integrated campaigns where traditional and digital channels work in concert, creating a synergistic effect that amplifies our message and reach. Your ability to think holistically about the media ecosystem and orchestrate diverse channels will be a key differentiator.
  • • Furthermore, you will leverage your analytical skills to conduct GRP/TRP/reach & frequency analysis and build sophisticated ROI projections. Your experience with media mix modeling (MMM), multi-touch attribution (MTA), and incrementality testing will be crucial for accurately measuring both brand and performance objectives, providing a comprehensive view of campaign impact.
  • • This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned media professional to make a significant impact within a company dedicated to online privacy and user empowerment. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, driving strategic initiatives and contributing directly to the growth and success of DuckDuckGo.
  • • You will be expected to attend meetings on camera via video conferencing to foster collaboration and connection within our remote team. Travel is anticipated for at least two company events annually: an all-hands meetup and a team retreat, each lasting approximately 4-5 days. While extenuating circumstances may be accommodated, attendance is strongly encouraged to foster team cohesion and strategic alignment.
  • • While we offer a flexible work arrangement with no core hours, a commitment of approximately 40 hours per week is expected to fulfill the responsibilities of this role effectively.
