- • The Senior Manager, Internal Narrative and Executive Communications at 8x8 owns the strategic narrative infrastructure that aligns employees, managers, and executives around a unified company story through transformation, change, and key moments.
- • Day to day, the role involves building and maintaining narrative cadence (weekly digests, monthly updates), crafting executive messaging and thought leadership content, preparing leaders for public appearances, coordinating internal messaging ahead of product launches, partnering with HR on All Hands, enabling managers with communication toolkits, and measuring narrative adoption and message consistency.
- • The role sits within the Marketing and Communications department, reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, and operates at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and leadership communication to ensure one clear, unified narrative drives organizational alignment.
- • In this role, the individual will shape how 8x8’s strategy is understood internally, gain deep exposure to executive-level communication, build scalable communication frameworks, and directly influence employee understanding and engagement during periods of change and growth.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in communications, with hands-on expertise in executive communications, internal narrative, or a blend of internal and external communications, preferably in the technology sector.
- • Proven ability to write for executives, translating leadership priorities into clear, resonant language that connects with employees across the organization.
- • Experience owning a communication function or program with full accountability for outcomes, including strategy, execution, and measurement.
- • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and making decisions autonomously to drive progress.
- • Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across functions without relying on authority.
- • Exceptional writing ability — clear, direct, and authentic — combined with strategic thinking to align messaging with business goals.

- • Competitive base salary range of $164,400.00 to $246,600.00, based on location and experience.
