Senior Manager of Planned Giving Operations

📋 Description

• • Serve as a key leader in the Marketing Development department to oversee portfolios of high-net-worth donors and drive planned giving revenue aligned with Compassion International’s annual and long-term financial goals.
• • Set strategic direction for professional fundraising efforts including qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major planned giving donors and constituents.
• • Lead and/or directly participate in fundraising campaigns, events, and activities designed to increase donor retention, identify new prospects, and secure charitable commitments such as bequests and estate gifts.
• • Actively advocate for Compassion’s ministry of Christian child development to planned giving audiences through personalized communication, including personal visits, phone calls, mailings, and targeted marketing.
• • Manage and develop planned giving operations programs including bequest processing, donor pipeline strategies, stewardship event planning, and donor leads management.
• • Serve as a primary leader for Compassion tours, project visits, and special events, inviting and engaging planned giving donors in these experiences.
• • Deliver compelling presentations and speeches on behalf of Compassion to diverse audiences, leveraging in-depth knowledge of Compassion’s programs and impact.
• • Manage a small to moderate team of direct reports, including hiring, coaching, performance management, discipline, and annual reviews.
• • Align departmental resources and priorities with senior leadership and peer managers to ensure strategic cohesion across the organization.
• • Compile, administer, and oversee the annual budget for planned giving operations, ensuring accountability for deliverables, compliance with regulatory and board policies, and adherence to approved expense limits.
• • Uphold Compassion International’s Christian mission by maintaining a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrating Christ-like conduct in all interactions, and faithfully supporting the ministry through prayer.
• • Prioritize child protection in all decision-making, tasks, and activities, strictly adhering to Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct.
• • Report any concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and support appropriate responses to incidents.
• • Engage fully with Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors as outlined in the organization’s employment guidelines.
• • Travel up to 20% of the normal work schedule to support donor engagements, events, and ministry activities.
