đź“‹ Description
- • As Senior Manager, Recruiting Operations at Flock Safety, you will serve as the strategic and operational backbone of the recruiting function, partnering directly with the VP of Talent to scale hiring capabilities in alignment with the company’s rapid growth and $7.5B valuation. This role is critical to ensuring that Flock’s recruiting engine operates with precision, leverages AI responsibly, and delivers an exceptional candidate experience while supporting the mission of building safer communities through innovative safety technology.
- • You will own the end-to-end recruiting operations lifecycle — from tech stack management and data-driven decision-making to compliance, coordination, and onboarding — acting as both executor and strategist to continuously improve how Flock attracts, hires, and onboards talent at scale.
- • The Recruiting Operations team is a high-impact, cross-functional unit embedded within Talent Acquisition, working closely with People Ops, hiring managers, and senior leadership to ensure recruiting processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with Flock’s culture of ownership, collaboration, and bold thinking.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in AI-driven recruiting innovation, enterprise ATS optimization, recruiting analytics, and operational scalability — positioning yourself as a leader in modern talent acquisition while contributing to Flock’s mission of scaling responsibly amid rapid growth.
- • [What the person will do day to day (4-6 bullet points)]
- • Partner with the VP of Talent to define and execute strategic recruiting initiatives, including org design, program launches, and cross-functional alignment efforts that support Flock’s hiring goals and long-term talent strategy.
- • Lead the evaluation, piloting, and scaling of AI tools in recruiting workflows — sourcing, screening, coordination, and decision-making — applying ethical AI principles to separate hype from tangible value and drive measurable improvements in speed, quality, and scale.
- • Own the full recruiting technology stack, including the ATS and HRIS integrations; lead system implementations, optimize configurations, and ensure maximum team adoption and leverage across all recruiting tools.
- • Define key recruiting metrics, build and maintain dashboards, and partner with stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights that balance hiring speed, quality, diversity, and candidate experience.
- • Own end-to-end recruiting compliance, including EEO/OFCCP reporting, job posting standards, data privacy protocols, and audit readiness; establish scalable frameworks to maintain regulatory adherence as the company grows.
- • Lead and develop the recruiting coordination team, setting standards for candidate experience, scheduling efficiency, and operational excellence while mentoring coordinators and refining handoff processes.
- • Own the operational transition from offer acceptance to Day 1, collaborating with People Ops to design a seamless onboarding experience that includes logistics, system access, and early engagement.
- • [About the team or company (1-2 bullet points)]
- • Flock Safety is a mission-driven, high-growth technology company backed by nearly $700M in venture funding and valued at $7.5B, dedicated to building a nationwide public-private safety network that connects law enforcement, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods through responsible innovation.
- • The Talent Acquisition team operates with urgency, low ego, and high ownership — prioritizing collaboration, data-informed decisions, and continuous improvement to support Flock’s scaling goals while maintaining a strong culture of inclusion and respect.
- • [What the person can learn or achieve in this role (1-2 bullet points)]
- • Gain hands-on experience shaping the future of recruiting through ethical AI adoption and enterprise-scale tech optimization, becoming a trusted advisor on innovation in talent acquisition at a high-growth, venture-backed company.
- • Develop leadership and influence by driving cross-functional initiatives, presenting to senior stakeholders, and building scalable systems that impact hiring quality, compliance, and candidate experience across a rapidly expanding organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruiting operations, with proven success in senior or lead roles driving team alignment and operational excellence.
- • Demonstrated fluency with AI tools in recruiting contexts and a clear perspective on their practical applications for sourcing, screening, and decision-making, grounded in ethical principles.
- • Deep expertise with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting technology ecosystems, including ownership of implementations, integrations, and optimization efforts.
- • Strong data acumen — ability to identify meaningful metrics, build insightful dashboards, and use data to influence recruiting strategy and stakeholder decisions.
- • Executive presence and comfort engaging with senior leaders, including the ability to present insights, challenge assumptions, and push back constructively when needed.
- • Background in scaling recruiting functions during periods of rapid organizational growth, with familiarity in HRIS integrations and onboarding infrastructure.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully paid health benefits (medical, dental, vision) with HSA match and access to Spring Health for personalized mental health support including therapy, coaching, and medication management.
- • 12 weeks of 100% paid parental leave for all employees, plus an additional 6–8 weeks of paid physical recovery time for birthing parents.
- • Fertility and family benefits through Maven, including a $50,000 lifetime maximum for eligible adoption, surrogacy, or fertility expenses, plus caregiver support via Cariloop.
- • Generous stipends: $150/month WFH stipend, $300/year productivity stipend (for Audible, Calm, Masterclass, Duolingo, etc.), and a one-time $750 home office stipend.
- • Four employee resource groups (ERGs): Women of Flock, Flock Proud, LEOs, and Melanin Motion, fostering inclusion and belonging across diverse identities.
- • Access to Carta Tax Advisors for 1:1 sessions on equity grants, tax modeling, and financial planning related to stock options.
