• • We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting to spearhead our Revenue/AR Accounting function. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the Controller, offers significant visibility and demands a leader capable of managing a team, tackling intricate technical accounting challenges, and actively participating in the detailed execution of our complex usage-based billing model. The ideal candidate is a seasoned revenue accounting professional with a passion for problem-solving, a knack for cross-functional collaboration, and a proven track record of developing and implementing scalable processes within a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment characterized by usage-based revenue streams.
• • In this capacity, you will oversee the entire revenue lifecycle, ensuring meticulous adherence to ASC 606 standards. This includes the accurate accounting for variable consideration, the complexities of usage-based fees, and the nuances of multi-element arrangements. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining and updating the corporate revenue recognition policy, and you will be responsible for documenting technical accounting positions for new product launches and non-standard contract terms, providing a solid foundation for compliance and strategic decision-making.
• • A key aspect of this role involves acting as the primary technical advisor to our Deal Desk, Account Owners, and Sales teams. You will be the "go-to" expert, providing critical revenue recognition guidance throughout the sales cycle, ensuring that deals are structured and contracted in a manner that aligns with accounting principles and business objectives. This proactive engagement is vital for mitigating risks and optimizing revenue outcomes.
• • You will lead the month-end revenue close process, which encompasses the thorough review of journal entries, the meticulous reconciliation of revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable (AR) accounts, and comprehensive variance analysis. Your analytical skills will be instrumental in identifying trends, explaining fluctuations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
• • Driving operational excellence is a core objective. You will be tasked with leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and automation technologies to streamline and eliminate manual touchpoints within the revenue lifecycle. The goal is to significantly reduce month-end close cycle times, enhance data accuracy, and improve overall efficiency and scalability of the revenue operations.
• • You will serve as the main point of contact for our external auditors, managing all revenue-related inquiries and facilitating walkthroughs. Your ability to clearly articulate our revenue accounting policies and practices will be essential for a smooth and successful audit process.
• • Leading and mentoring a team is a fundamental responsibility.
