  • • Own the complete end-to-end lifecycle of these ancillary products, from initial ideation and benefit structure design through successful market launch, rigorous performance monitoring, and continuous optimization to ensure market competitiveness and member satisfaction.
  • • Develop and manage comprehensive business cases for both new and existing ancillary products. This includes conducting detailed financial modeling, projecting membership growth, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against strategic objectives.
  • • Conduct in-depth analysis of product performance, leveraging financial and membership metrics to accurately forecast future results, proactively identify potential risks and emerging opportunities, and provide data-driven insights to inform critical business decisions.

This involves augmenting current offerings, addressing and remediating underperforming benefit structures, and innovating new benefit designs tailored to specific consumer segments, all informed by performance data, evolving member needs, and dynamic market trends.
  • • Actively contribute to Oscar Health's annual strategic planning cycles, assisting in the development of product roadmaps and prioritizing initiatives for the ancillary product suite.

Responsibilities include agenda setting, conducting thorough performance reviews, tracking outstanding issues, and ensuring follow-through on all agreed-upon commitments.
  • • Proactively identify risks, operational gaps, and strategic opportunities across benefit design, product performance, and execution, formulating and recommending corrective actions to mitigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
  • • Partner effectively with Actuarial and Finance teams to evaluate pricing strategies, analyze unit economics, and understand profitability trade-offs, using these insights to guide benefit and portfolio decisions.
  • • Work collaboratively with Regulatory and Legal teams to ensure all ancillary products strictly adhere to federal and state regulatory requirements, managing the filing, updating, and approval processes as necessary.
  • • Oversee the quality assurance (QA) processes for ancillary products, manage attestations, and provide final sign-off before submission of filings.
  • • Ensure unwavering compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance standards across the ancillary product portfolio.
  • • Act as the single, accountable product owner for all ancillary benefits, fostering seamless coordination and communication across various internal teams.
  • • Translate complex vendor capabilities and intricate regulatory constraints into clear, actionable product requirements for development and implementation teams.
  • • Influence senior leadership through compelling, data-driven recommendations and well-articulated risk assessments, building consensus and driving strategic alignment.
  • • Develop and maintain robust, regular performance reporting and product look-back analyses, evaluating financial, operational, clinical, and member experience outcomes.
  • • Utilize advanced analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker) to extract, analyze, and interpret data related to product utilization, cost trends, member engagement, retention rates, and vendor performance.
