- • As a Senior Marketing Automation Specialist at ALX Africa, you will be a pivotal force in scaling the organization’s digital impact by architecting and optimizing the HubSpot ecosystem that powers customer and stakeholder journeys across Africa. Your work will directly support ALX Africa’s mission to empower 2 million Africans by 2030 with sustainable tech careers, ensuring that every lead, learner, and partner experiences seamless, data-driven engagement at scale.
- • You will own and evolve HubSpot as the central nervous system of ALX Africa’s marketing, sales, and community operations — designing, implementing, and continuously refining multi-channel automation strategies that span email, WhatsApp, SMS, and other touchpoints to drive lead nurturing, lifecycle progression, and conversion efficiency across diverse learner segments and geographies.
- • Day to day, you will architect and maintain robust data flows and integrations between HubSpot and critical systems like Salesforce, Jotform, and custom platforms, ensuring data integrity, hygiene, and compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and consent management standards while enabling real-time synchronization across marketing, sales, learning, and operations teams.
- • You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, Community, Learning, Engineering, and Operations to translate business needs into scalable, governed automation solutions — leading workshops, documenting processes, and delivering training to drive platform adoption and consistent best practices organization-wide.
- • You will build, maintain, and evolve insightful dashboards and reporting frameworks that surface campaign performance, pipeline health, engagement trends, and ROI metrics, transforming raw CRM data into actionable insights that inform strategy, optimize spend, and improve learner outcomes.
- • You will act as an internal automation thought leader — staying ahead of emerging AI and automation trends, recommending innovative enhancements, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, personalization, and scalability across the customer journey.
- • You will join a mission-driven, rapidly growing non-profit with hubs in 8 African cities and a proven track record of impact: 347k+ graduates since 2020, 257k youth placed in work, 31k youth launching ventures, and 60k youth employed through entrepreneur-led ventures — all while contributing to a culture that values courage, humility, adventure, initiative, and resilience.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise-grade marketing automation, RevOps, and data governance while gaining visibility into how technology enables social impact at scale — positioning you as a strategic leader in the intersection of tech, education, and African development.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 6 years of experience in CRM, marketing automation, marketing operations, sales operations, or RevOps roles
- • Expert level experience with HubSpot and/or similar CRMs, including hands-on configuration, workflows, reporting, and data architecture
- • Proven ability to design and manage complex automation programs across multiple audiences and regions
- • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks including GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and consent management
- • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into scalable system architecture and automation solutions
- • Strong analytical skills with experience building dashboards and deriving actionable insights from CRM data
- • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholder priorities in a dynamic environment
🏖️ Benefits
- • Opportunity to contribute to a transformative mission: empowering 2 million Africans by 2030 with sustainable tech careers through a proven impact model
- • Fully remote role with flexible time zones, enabling work-life balance while collaborating across global teams and African hubs
- • Access to continuous learning and professional development, including encouragement to attain HubSpot and other relevant certifications
- • Collaborative, values-driven culture rooted in courage, humility, adventure, initiative, and resilience — where your voice matters and growth is expected
- • Exposure to cutting-edge automation, AI, and integration technologies within a mission-led tech education nonprofit
- • Competitive compensation and benefits package aligned with international standards for remote tech roles in the impact sector
