📋 Description

• As the first dedicated search marketing hire at Replit, you will own and scale the company's organic search presence across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered platforms, directly impacting how millions of users discover and access the agentic software creation platform.
• You will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategy to ensure Replit ranks prominently in Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and other evolving search environments, driving qualified traffic, conversions, and pipeline growth.
• Day to day, you will partner with Engineering to implement technical SEO best practices including site architecture, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and crawlability improvements, while conducting regular site audits to identify and prioritize technical enhancements.
• You will conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to uncover high-value search opportunities, then collaborate with Content and Product Marketing teams to develop SEO/AEO-optimized content that aligns with user intent across the customer journey.
• You will build and maintain dashboards tracking organic search performance, AI platform visibility, and conversion metrics, using data to measure impact, prioritize initiatives, and report on traffic, conversions, and pipeline contribution.
• You will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap decisions that affect search performance, ensuring technical and product decisions support long-term organic growth.
• You will monitor emerging AI platforms and search technologies to stay ahead of industry shifts, continuously adapting strategies to maintain Replit’s competitive edge in discoverability.
• You will help build the search infrastructure and reporting frameworks from scratch, establishing processes, tracking systems, and cross-functional workflows that enable scalable, data-driven growth.
• You will operate in a high-impact, autonomous environment where your strategic and technical expertise will directly shape how Replit is discovered by developers, educators, and creators worldwide.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of SEO and organic search marketing experience with proven expertise in technical SEO, content optimization, and link building strategies
• Deep understanding of emerging search paradigms including Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) for AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude
• Hands-on experience with SEO tools and platforms (Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, analytics platforms) and technical SEO implementation
• Strong analytical capabilities – ability to use data to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and measure impact on traffic, conversions, and pipeline
• Experience partnering with Engineering and Product teams to implement technical SEO improvements and influence product decisions
• Proven ability to develop content strategies informed by search insights and user intent across the marketing funnel
• Track record building search programs from zero-to-one with demonstrated results in traffic growth and conversion improvement
• Experience with developer tools, SaaS products, AI-powered platforms, or high-growth tech companies is a plus
