- • Lead the development and execution of strategic, global Medical Affairs programs focused on cardiovascular disease (CVD), with emphasis on innovative evidence generation, launch readiness, and post-market solutions
- • Drive the Integrated Evidence Plan (IEP) to maximize the value proposition and clinical impact of prioritized launch portfolios, particularly for pelacarsen
- • Serve as a key member of the cross-functional Medical Strategy Team (MST), contributing to tactical development and excellence in execution across U.S. and global teams
- • Build and maintain effective partnerships with Medical, Commercial, and global colleagues to align medical strategy with business objectives
- • Design and oversee a robust data generation program to support current indications and lifecycle extension of pelacarsen, including Phase 3b/4 studies in the U.S.
- • Co-develop strategically aligned clinical study programs with Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HE&OR) teams to ensure comprehensive evidence generation
- • Lead the Investigator-Initiated Trial (IIT) program in the U.S., including protocol design, site selection, and study execution
- • Collaborate with the global team to define and implement lifecycle management strategies specific to the U.S. market
- • Foster strong relationships with National, Regional, and Local Medical Experts and Investigators to support Medical Expert Engagement Strategy
- • Plan and execute advisory boards to gather clinical insights and inform product strategy
- • Work closely with Field Medical teams on insight-gathering initiatives to translate real-world feedback into strategic actions
- • Ensure all medical affairs activities comply with regulatory standards and internal policies
- • Provide medical leadership within the U.S. Medical Affairs organization, leveraging demonstrated experience in cardiovascular product launches
- • Apply expertise in medical communication, medical education, and real-world evidence (RWE) to influence clinical practice and healthcare system value
- • Contribute to employee development and mentorship within the Medical Affairs team
- • Apply deep understanding of healthcare systems, pharmaceutical drug development, and priority disease areas in cardiovascular medicine
- • Demonstrate influencing skills and inspirational leadership to drive cross-functional alignment and organizational impact
🎯 Requirements
- • Doctorate-level degree (MD, PharmD, DO, or PhD in Health Sciences or related field) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician’s Assistant (PA) degree with significant relevant clinical experience
- • Strong Medical Affairs background with proven experience in cardiovascular (CV) product launches
- • Demonstrated expertise in strategy development, cross-functional collaboration, and integrated evidence generation
- • Experience leading U.S.-based Phase 3b/4 studies and Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs)
- • Proven ability to collaborate with Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HE&OR) teams and leverage Real World Evidence (RWE)
- • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance, clinical practices, and healthcare system dynamics in the U.S.

- • Base salary range of $204,000.00–$379,600.00 annually
