📋 Description

• • Own the beating heart of a high-scale e-commerce advertising analytics platform. You will be the single-threaded owner of a production-grade Kubernetes (EKS) cluster on AWS that ingests, transforms, and serves millions of advertising events per hour for global brands. Every change you ship directly influences how quickly marketers can react to market shifts and optimize spend.
• • Architect, harden, and continuously evolve a GitOps-driven infrastructure. Using ArgoCD’s app-of-apps pattern, you will maintain a declarative, version-controlled source of truth for all clusters, namespaces, and supporting AWS resources. Your pull requests are the only path to production—no manual kubectl, no ad-hoc console clicks.
• • Champion reliability and observability. You will design and tune Prometheus rules, Grafana dashboards, and Loki log pipelines that surface SLI/SLO health to both engineers and business stakeholders. When alerts fire, you lead the incident response, run blameless post-mortems, and codify fixes as Terraform or Helm changes.
• • Optimize for cost without compromising performance. You will right-size node groups, schedule workloads onto spot and on-demand capacity, and leverage KEDA and Cluster Autoscaler to keep AWS bills predictable. Monthly cost reviews with finance will be your stage to show measurable savings.
• • Secure everything by default. Implement fine-grained IAM roles via IRSA, rotate secrets through External Secrets Operator, and enforce least-privilege policies across CI/CD and runtime environments. Quarterly security audits will rely on the guardrails you build.
• • Empower developers with self-service pipelines. You will maintain GitHub Actions workflows that build, test, scan, and deploy microservices in under five minutes. Self-hosted runners will be scaled automatically, and reusable composite actions will keep YAML DRY across 20+ repositories.
• • Document tribal knowledge and mentor peers. From runbooks to ADRs, your clear, concise writing becomes the onboarding guide for future engineers. You will also host weekly "DevOps Office Hours" to level up backend developers on Helm, Kustomize, and kubectl best practices.
• • Drive continuous improvement through metrics. You will instrument deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, and change failure rate, then iterate on tooling until the team meets elite DORA standards. Your dashboards will be the north star for engineering excellence.
• • Collaborate across time zones in a fully remote culture. Daily Slack threads, bi-weekly planning poker, and monthly architecture guild meetings keep the team aligned. You will demo infrastructure wins at sprint reviews and celebrate cost-saving milestones in GIF-filled channels.
