- • Design, operate, and improve the ML platform using Databricks, MLflow, Unity Catalog, GitHub Actions, and Databricks Asset Bundles to support real-time inference at massive scale.
- • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated model training, validation, and promotion across development, staging, and production environments.
- • Support data scientists in developing end-to-end training pipelines including data processing, feature engineering, GPU-accelerated model training, and distributed training setups.
- • Ensure reliable and low-latency model inference by validating model metadata compatibility, monitoring performance metrics, and enforcing production-grade model deployment standards.
- • Implement ML observability systems including online and offline monitoring, feature drift detection, data parity checks, and automated model performance validation.
- • Develop internal tools and APIs to enable data science teams and account managers to experiment, validate, and promote models with reduced operational friction.
- • Collaborate daily with Data Science, Data Engineering, Runtime, DevOps, and Product teams to align ML platform capabilities with business and technical requirements.
- • Own end-to-end delivery of ML infrastructure projects with autonomy, anticipating technical debt and proactively improving system reliability and scalability.
- • Optimize GPU utilization and training efficiency for deep neural networks using PyTorch or similar frameworks in distributed environments.
- • Maintain strong integration between the ML platform and the runtime inference layer to ensure seamless, high-throughput bidding operations handling thousands of requests per second.
- • Apply modern AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to accelerate development workflows, improve code quality, and automate repetitive engineering tasks.
- • Ensure all ML systems adhere to best practices in containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and networking (TCP, HTTP, gRPC) for low-latency production environments.
- • Use data validation libraries such as Pydantic within ML and API workflows to enforce schema integrity and data quality.
- • Participate in on-call rotations to maintain system uptime and respond to production incidents affecting model inference or training pipelines.
- • Document system architecture, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity across the team.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in MLOps, ML Platform Engineering, or Backend roles supporting production ML systems
- • Strong Python and software engineering skills, with experience building and maintaining APIs (FastAPI, Flask, or similar)
- • Hands-on experience with DNNs using PyTorch or other modern deep learning frameworks, including GPU training and optimizing hardware utilization
- • Solid understanding of distributed computing and data processing using Apache Spark or similar frameworks
- • Experience with Databricks (Jobs, MLflow, Delta, UC) or an equivalent cloud-based ML platform
- • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
