📋 Description
- • Own and manage the UK Government networking infrastructure, primarily using Cisco platforms, to support Iron Mountain’s critical business partnership with the UK Government Sector.
- • Implement and maintain advanced Data Center Network Technologies including Network Segmentation, Next-Generation Firewalls, Security Threat Protection, SD-WAN, Content Delivery/Load Balancing, and advanced flow mapping tools to enhance security posture.
- • Provide full lifecycle management for all network equipment across Iron Mountain’s UK Secure Data Centers and UK Field offices, including accurate component inventories and capacity management reporting.
- • Lead and drive execution of strategic network projects in collaboration with Project Managers and Risk Management teams, ensuring alignment with compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- • Mentor and guide junior network administrators and engineers, fostering technical growth and promoting operational excellence within the team.
- • Produce regular, accurate management reports on KPIs/KRIs, security metrics, and compliance initiative status for presentation to senior leadership.
- • Ensure all network systems meet stringent UK Government sector requirements, including certifications, audit standards, and regulatory assessments.
- • Maintain high-availability, secure corporate network environments with a focus on continuous uptime and resilience in mission-critical operations.
- • Collaborate with third-party vendors and professional services to optimize network performance, resolve complex issues, and implement best practices.
- • Apply operational best practices in CI/CD environments and process improvement methodologies to streamline network operations and reduce risk.
- • Stay current with evolving network technologies and security threats to proactively enhance the resilience and scalability of Iron Mountain’s UK Secure IT infrastructure.
🎯 Requirements
- • Must be a UK Citizen and have resided in the UK for the previous five consecutive years
- • Must hold or successfully pass UK governmental security clearance
- • Deep technical expertise in Advanced Cisco Systems Platforms (including ACI Switching, Wireless, and ISE)
- • Hands-on experience with Advanced Content Delivery Platforms such as F5 and Riverbed
- • Proven track record in managing high-availability, secure corporate or government networks in non-management IT infrastructure roles
- • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, mentor peers, and communicate effectively at all organizational levels
