• As a Senior Node.js Developer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, and maintaining robust server-side applications that form the backbone of our cutting-edge platform. You will be instrumental in building applications and services using agile development methodologies, ensuring our systems are not only performant but also highly available and scalable to meet the demands of a global user base.
• Your core responsibilities will involve writing clean, efficient, testable, and reusable code in Node.js. This includes developing and optimizing backend services that are critical for our digital fabrication processes. You will be deeply involved in the integration of various data storage solutions, including NoSQL databases like MongoDB and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, as well as caching mechanisms like Redis, ensuring data integrity and rapid retrieval.
• Collaboration is key to our success. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and frontend development teams to translate complex requirements into elegant technical solutions. This involves actively participating in the creation and review of technical designs, validating architectural decisions, and ensuring that our services consistently deliver the best possible user experience and functionality.
• A strong emphasis will be placed on quality assurance. You will be responsible for writing comprehensive unit, integration, and performance tests using modern testing frameworks to guarantee the reliability and stability of all developed features. This proactive approach to testing is crucial for maintaining the high standards expected of our platform.
• You will contribute significantly to project planning and execution. This includes participating in project estimations, providing expert input for solution delivery strategies, conducting thorough technical risk assessments, and performing rigorous code reviews and test plan reviews to uphold code quality and best practices.
• Security and data protection are paramount. You will be tasked with ensuring that modern security standards, protocols, and data protection measures are meticulously implemented throughout the development lifecycle. This includes addressing user authentication and authorization challenges across multiple systems, servers, and environments to safeguard our platform and user data.
• Beyond development, you will be involved in the operational aspects of our services. This includes running diagnostic tests, identifying and repairing defects, and providing essential technical support to ensure smooth operations. You will also be expected to respond effectively to production incidents, taking swift and decisive action to restore services and minimize business disruption.
• As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide junior developers and freshers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing the next generation of talent at Zuru Tech.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Node.js developer.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with deep knowledge of Node.js and at least one major web framework (e.g., Express, Koa).
• Proven experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
• Experience in implementing unit, integration, and performance tests using frameworks like Mocha or Jest.
