- • As a Senior Operations Manager for Altersvorsorgedepot at Upvest GmbH, you will bridge the wealth gap in Europe by empowering millions to own their future through dismantling barriers to long-term investments, reducing complexity, and increasing access via leading fintechs and financial institutions.
- • You will build and manage Upvest’s pensions processes for transfers, contribution management, bonus applications, and edge-case handling; scale and lead the pensions operations team by mentoring and managing staff; act as a subject matter expert on German pension products; build client relationships; optimize workflows with automation and AI; ensure compliance; and collaborate across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Treasury, and other teams to drive efficient, secure operations.
- • Upvest is a Berlin-based fintech founded in 2017 with over 270 professionals from 70+ nationalities, backed by €280M in funding from BlackRock, Tencent, Sapphire Ventures, and others. The company powers investment infrastructure for Europe’s leading fintechs and financial institutions like DKB, Revolut, N26, and Raisin through its easy-to-integrate Investment API.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in the German AVD (Altersvorsorgedepot) framework, lead operational innovation in pensions, contribute to best-in-class product development, and gain end-to-end ownership of a core business priority while scaling impact across Europe’s retirement landscape.
🎯 Requirements
- • Deep understanding of market rules and existing pension products in the German market
- • Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and data exchange with ZFA
- • German native fluency in English, both written and verbal
- • Strong investigative and analytical skills with ability to identify and solve errors
- • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- • Experience in data analysis and process automation using SQL, Python, or similar tools (nice-to-have)
