- • The Senior Payroll Expert at Deel serves as the primary authority on Japan payroll operations, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing of payments for global teams while driving process improvements and mentoring colleagues in a fast-growing SaaS leader transforming the future of work.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include processing multi-entity payroll with precision and timeliness, acting as a subject matter expert for internal teams on Japan-specific payroll and HR matters, identifying and implementing process enhancements to boost efficiency and accuracy, monitoring payroll data to detect trends and improvement opportunities, staying current on Japanese regulatory changes and communicating them across teams, collaborating cross-functionally to provide expert guidance on Japan payroll compliance, and resolving complex employee and client inquiries related to payroll and HR.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution
- • 8+ years of experience processing payroll for multiple entities and countries
- • Strong working knowledge of local regulations and policies related to payroll and HR in Japan
- • Advanced knowledge of local payroll software solutions
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
