- • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for India and assigned APAC countries, including salaries, incentives, bonuses, arrears, and adjustments
- • Ensure strict compliance with Indian statutory and tax regulations, including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax, Income Tax (TDS/TCS), and other country-specific requirements
- • Review, validate, and reconcile payroll inputs such as attendance records, timesheets, new hires, exits, and data changes to maintain accuracy
- • Handle Full & Final settlements including leave encashment, gratuity calculations, and notice pay recoveries in alignment with labor laws
- • Prepare comprehensive payroll reports, variance analyses, and audit documentation for internal and external audits
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, resolving discrepancies promptly and professionally
- • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and external payroll vendors to ensure seamless operations and drive continuous process improvements
- • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive employee financial and personal data across all payroll activities
- • Conduct regular audits of payroll systems and processes to identify risks, errors, or inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
- • Ensure timely submission of statutory filings and payments to government authorities across all supported APAC jurisdictions
- • Participate in system upgrades, integrations, or migrations involving payroll platforms such as SAP, ADP, or QuickBooks
- • Support the scaling of payroll operations as the company expands its footprint across the APAC region
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing labor laws, tax codes, and compliance obligations in India and other APAC markets
- • Lead cross-functional coordination during payroll cycle closures to meet strict deadlines and ensure zero payment delays
- • Document and standardize payroll workflows to enhance scalability, reduce manual effort, and improve audit readiness
- • Analyze payroll data to detect anomalies, overpayments, underpayments, or systemic errors and initiate resolution protocols
- • Train and mentor junior payroll staff on compliance protocols, system usage, and best practices in payroll administration
- • Proactively identify opportunities for automation and process optimization in payroll operations
- • Maintain accurate employee payroll records in compliance with data retention policies and legal requirements
