📋 Description

• As the Senior People Operations Manager, you will be the architect of the People function from the ground up, designing and owning all core HR processes end-to-end to create a scalable, compliant, and people-centric foundation for a rapidly growing international team across Germany, Italy, and Spain. This role offers a rare opportunity to build HR operations without legacy constraints, using modern tools and AI to transform how the company supports its workforce.
• Day to day, you will design and manage end-to-end HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, contracts, benefits administration, and compliance; lead the full lifecycle of HRIS migration—from evaluation and selection to implementation and optimization; create and refine company policies while advising managers on employee relations matters; ensure adherence to local labor laws in Germany, Italy, and Spain through proactive audits and risk mitigation; analyze organizational needs to select and implement HR tech tools, with a focus on automation and AI integration such as AI-assisted onboarding, smart self-service portals, and automated employee support; build clean data foundations and develop meaningful HR reporting and dashboards that leadership uses for strategic decision-making; serve as the primary point of contact for employees across the entire lifecycle, crafting an employee experience that fosters engagement, retention, and a sense of belonging; and continuously improve HR operations by identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable, remote-first solutions.
• You will join a dynamic, growing People Team that partners across Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partnering, operating in a transformation phase focused on introducing structure, modern ways of working, and a culture where employees feel empowered and supported. The team is remote-first by design, values autonomy and innovation, and is committed to building HR practices that are both compliant and human-centered, without relying on outdated systems or manual workarounds.
• In this role, you will gain deep expertise in scaling HR operations in tech-driven, international environments; become proficient in leveraging AI and automation to enhance HR service delivery; develop strong stakeholder management and advisory skills across multiple countries and legal jurisdictions; and have the unique opportunity to shape the People function of a scaling company from inception, leaving a lasting impact on how hundreds of employees experience work.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR, preferably in a scale-up or technology environment
• Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, contracts, and compliance
• Daily use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Notion AI, or equivalent to improve efficiency and service delivery
• Fluency in both English and German, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Structured, autonomous work style with the ability to prioritize and drive initiatives independently
• Experience working in or managing HR for remote-first, international teams
