Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to people managers on org design, performance management, succession planning, and leadership effectiveness across the organization
- • Bring a data-informed perspective to talent decisions, identifying risks early and shaping proactive, preemptive responses before issues become reactive crises
- • Contribute directly to KOHO’s 2026 People Enablement strategy, with focused ownership over compensation structures, performance systems, and the end-to-end employee lifecycle
- • Own the full employee journey from onboarding through transitions, ensuring consistency, care, and operational reliability at every stage
- • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to streamline People Ops workflows using AI and automation tools to reduce manual work and increase efficiency
- • Act as the primary steward of BambooHR data integrity, ensuring accurate, up-to-date records that teams rely on for decision-making and compliance
- • Stay current on Canadian and U.S. labor legislation, compensation trends, benefits regulations, and immigration policies affecting people operations
- • Translate complex regulatory changes into clear, actionable internal guidance without introducing bureaucratic overhead or unnecessary processes
- • Partner cross-functionally with Talent and Coaching teams to align on people goals, improve hiring outcomes, and enhance coaching effectiveness
- • Operate with high autonomy and accountability, treating People Ops as a product team would treat user experience — with rigor, ownership, and relentless focus on removing friction
- • Build scalable systems and processes that support a remote-first, asynchronous work environment built on trust and outcomes, not presence
- • Champion a culture of clarity, ownership, and bold thinking by eliminating inefficiencies and empowering managers with the tools and insights they need to lead effectively
- • Maintain deep expertise in HR policies and processes while continuously evolving them to meet the needs of a fast-growing, AI-native organization
- • Balance strategic initiatives with hands-on execution, ensuring people operations are both visionary and operationally flawless
- • Drive continuous improvement by measuring impact, iterating based on feedback, and adapting systems to scale with KOHO’s growth trajectory
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in People Business Partnering, preferably with exposure to both Canadian and U.S. markets
- • Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic owner accountable for measurable outcomes in people operations
- • Exceptional analytical abilities, attention to detail, and proven capacity to manage multiple competing priorities
- • Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies, processes, and best practices
- • Comfort and experience working with AI tools in HR workflows; AI-native mindset preferred
🏖️ Benefits
- • Salary range of $110,000–$140,000 CAD per year with pay transparency
- • Remote-first work environment with flexible hours and asynchronous collaboration
- • Focus on work-life integration, not just balance, supporting autonomy and personal well-being
- • Opportunity to build scalable, impactful systems in a fast-growing, mission-driven fintech company
