Senior Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• • Architect and deliver the next-generation global publishing platform that powers millions of concurrent players across AAA titles. You will own the end-to-end design, implementation, and evolution of cloud-native services that scale to 10× traffic spikes on launch day without a single dropped request.
• • Lead the migration of legacy monoliths into event-driven microservices running on Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS), using Terraform to codify every VPC, IAM policy, and autoscaler. Your blueprints will become the golden path that dozens of game studios adopt for their own launches.
• • Champion a culture of SRE excellence by defining SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for every service you ship. You will instrument distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry, configure Prometheus/Grafana dashboards, and run game-day chaos drills that prove our platform can survive regional outages.
• • Build multi-region, multi-cloud disaster-recovery pipelines that achieve <30-second RPO and <5-minute RTO. Your runbooks will be rehearsed quarterly with stakeholders from QA, Live Ops, and Customer Support so that when something breaks at 3 a.m., everyone knows exactly what to do.
• • Mentor a growing team of mid-level and junior engineers through pair programming, architecture reviews, and brown-bag sessions. You will craft career-development plans, conduct biannual performance reviews, and ensure every PR is both technically excellent and a teaching moment.
• • Drive continuous delivery at velocity: design GitHub Actions workflows that compile, test, scan, and deploy in under 10 minutes; implement progressive rollout strategies with ArgoCD and canary analysis; and automate security patching so zero-day fixes reach production before breakfast.
• • Collaborate with game designers, data scientists, and marketing to expose new platform capabilities—real-time telemetry ingestion, dynamic content delivery, and player-segmented feature flags—that turn creative ideas into live features within days, not months.
• • Leave every codebase cleaner than you found it: refactor brittle bash into typed Golang CLIs, replace snowflake VMs with immutable container images, and document tribal knowledge in Markdown that becomes the single source of truth for onboarding new hires.
• • Influence product roadmaps by translating business KPIs (DAU, retention, MTTR) into technical OKRs. You will present quarterly tech radars to executives, advocating for investments in edge caching, ARM-based compute, or carbon-aware scheduling that shave cost and latency.
• • Foster an inclusive, blameless culture where post-mortems focus on systems, not people, and where every engineer—regardless of background—feels safe to propose bold ideas.
