- • Architect and build scalable platform systems that enable internal and external application developers to build faster, more reliable software
- • Develop tools, services, and automation to extend the capabilities of Drata’s platform infrastructure
- • Operate and maintain critical portions of the company’s ingestion, analytics, and storage infrastructure
- • Collaborate with product managers to define and implement strategic technical solutions
- • Evaluate and improve the performance, durability, and security of production applications
- • Write and maintain server-side code and database architecture using NodeJS, TypeORM, and MySQL
- • Participate in the full software development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, and production releases
- • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code in an agile team environment
- • Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption in current or future projects
- • Work within a distributed architecture to manage Big Data and solve complex algorithmic problems
- • Ensure quality in software design and implementation through collaboration with engineering peers and management
- • Own end-to-end features or products with an owner-operator mentality, driving results independently
- • Negotiate tradeoffs between quality, speed, collaboration, and delivery in a high-velocity environment
- • Contribute to the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and microservices
- • Apply knowledge of algorithms, network protocols, and web services to optimize system behavior
- • Utilize AWS cloud services to deploy and manage platform components
- • Engage in peer code reviews and contribute to team-wide engineering standards
- • Maintain and enhance existing software systems while scaling them to support rapid company growth
- • Communicate technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- • Stay adaptable to evolving technologies and shifting business requirements
- • Support a culture of continuous learning by training on new tools and frameworks
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- • 3+ years of experience with NodeJS
- • Strong skills in JavaScript, ES6, Temporal, TypeORM, MySQL, Git, and REST principles
- • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
- • Proficiency in object-oriented programming and algorithm design
- • Agile development experience
