- • Lead the strategic development, growth, and operational excellence of Ensono’s Mainframe Application Management practice, with a focus on integrating AI/ML capabilities into mainframe environments.
- • Define and execute the roadmap for AI-enhanced mainframe services, including predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and AIOps for z/OS, z/VM, and z/VSE platforms.
- • Develop innovative service offerings leveraging IBM Watson, z/OS AI Toolkit, and IBM z16 AI accelerators to optimize application performance, security, and reliability.
- • Drive adoption of AI-powered tools for code optimization, capacity planning, intelligent workload scheduling, predictive failure analysis, and automated vulnerability detection in mainframe applications.
- • Partner with sales and pre-sales teams to design and present solutions that combine traditional mainframe expertise with AI-driven application management capabilities.
- • Build and maintain strategic relationships with AI/ML technology partners such as IBM Watson, Google Cloud AI, and Azure AI to enable hybrid mainframe-cloud AI solutions.
- • Represent Ensono at industry events focused on mainframe innovation, AI transformation, and hybrid cloud architectures to establish thought leadership.
- • Own P&L responsibility for the mainframe application management practice, including pricing strategies for AI-enabled and traditional service lines.
- • Recruit and build a high-performing team with expertise in both legacy mainframe systems and emerging AI technologies, including Python and Java on z/OS.
- • Design and implement upskilling programs to train mainframe engineers in AI/ML concepts, prompt engineering, and intelligent automation techniques.
- • Establish Centers of Excellence for AI-enabled mainframe services and cognitive application modernization.
- • Serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients on optimizing mainframe applications, unlocking data value, and implementing predictive recommendations for continuous improvement.
- • Implement intelligent observability and AIOps platforms for proactive issue detection, incident remediation, and real-time monitoring of mainframe workloads.
- • Extract and analyze mainframe data from DB2, IMS, and VSAM databases to train and validate AI/ML models for business intelligence and operational insights.
- • Promote and enforce best practices for integrating AI/ML models with mainframe data platforms and application development lifecycles.
- • Apply DevOps, Agile, and ITIL methodologies to mainframe environments to improve delivery speed, quality, and compliance.
- • Drive client satisfaction through proactive optimization, service quality, and SLA attainment while maintaining operational stability during AI experimentation.
- • Communicate complex AI concepts and mainframe modernization strategies effectively to both technical teams and C-level business stakeholders.
- • Foster a culture of innovation that balances AI experimentation with the reliability and security demands of enterprise mainframe systems.
- • Monitor emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and cognitive computing as applied to mainframe environments to ensure Ensono remains a market leader.
- • Manage cross-functional collaboration across sales, delivery, operations, and partner teams to align practice goals with business outcomes.
- • Measure success through practice revenue growth, client retention, new logo acquisition, AI adoption rates, team productivity, and employee engagement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in mainframe application management with progressive leadership responsibility
- • 5+ years of experience in practice development, business development, or service portfolio management
- • Proven track record building and growing technology service practices or business units
- • Strong background managing large-scale mainframe environments (z/OS, z/VM, z/VSE) for enterprise clients
- • Experience with AI/ML initiatives on mainframe platforms or in hybrid mainframe-cloud architectures
- • Demonstrated success in client-facing roles with C-level engagement experience
