- • As a Senior Practice Manager at Kong Inc., you will lead the regional Professional Services team to drive customer success across the entire lifecycle—from initial engagement through deployment, adoption, and expansion—ensuring customers realize maximum value from Kong’s API and AI connectivity platform while contributing to key business outcomes like PS Bookings, team utilization, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.
- • You will engage directly with customer stakeholders ranging from developers and architects to C-level executives to define implementation strategies, scope engagements, negotiate MSAs and SOWs, and oversee end-to-end delivery of prescriptive, outcome-based solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project risks and escalations, collaborating with Sales, Pre-Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Finance, and RevOps teams to refine delivery models, and ensuring seamless coordination across cross-functional stakeholders to maintain momentum and alignment throughout the customer journey.
- • You will build and lead a high-performing, diverse team of Architects and Engineers by hiring top talent, fostering career development, managing performance, and promoting a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
- • Partnering closely with Kong’s Product and Engineering teams, you will help shape the evolution of Kong Konnect by feeding real-world customer insights into product strategy, driving adoption of new features, and maturing Kong’s professional services delivery model to support cloud-native and API-centric transformation.
- • Through strategic relationship-building with delivery partners and executive sponsors, you will strengthen Kong’s market presence and ensure scalable, high-quality service delivery that supports long-term customer success and expansion opportunities across the defined regional install base.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven leadership experience in professional services, preferably within the API, open source, or enterprise IT space, with a track record of managing multi-million-dollar service portfolios and driving customer outcomes.
- • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead remote professional services teams, including expertise in hiring, performance management, career growth planning, and resource allocation.
- • Strong customer-facing skills with experience engaging technical and executive stakeholders, negotiating contracts (MSAs, SOWs), and translating business needs into actionable technical solutions.
- • Excellent organizational and change management capabilities, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage complex projects, and navigate dynamic, fast-growing environments.
- • Excellent presentation and communication skills, coupled with a solid understanding of professional services metrics in a SaaS context, including utilization, bookings, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.
- • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional role, working effectively with Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance, and other teams to drive alignment and innovation.
