- • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior or Principal Product Manager (level determined by experience) to spearhead the growth and strategic direction of one of Zip's core product verticals. This pivotal role will place you at the forefront of our expansion into new market segments and innovative use cases. - • As a Product Manager at Zip, you will be entrusted with significant autonomy and responsibility. Your primary mandate will be to drive the overarching strategy and meticulous execution required to expand Zip's footprint into new markets, diverse verticals, and emerging product categories. This involves a deep dive into market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify untapped opportunities and define our strategic roadmap.
- • A key aspect of this role is the identification, rigorous validation, and successful launch of new, high-impact use cases. These initiatives are designed to unlock substantial growth opportunities for Zip and provide our customers with enhanced capabilities. You will be expected to develop and test hypotheses through a combination of rapid experimentation, in-depth customer research, and thorough market analysis, ensuring that our product development is data-driven and customer-centric.
- • Balancing the imperative for speed with the need for scalability will be crucial. You will be responsible for ensuring that newly launched initiatives are architected and developed in a manner that allows them to evolve into robust, durable, and enterprise-ready product offerings capable of supporting the demands of our largest clients.
- • Success in this role requires seamless collaboration across departments. You will work closely with Go-To-Market (GTM), enablement, and sales teams to ensure their strategies are tightly aligned with our product vision and roadmap. This cross-functional alignment is critical for the successful business adoption and commercial success of our new offerings.
- • Cultivating and nurturing strong, ongoing relationships with our customers is paramount. You will act as a key liaison, gathering direct feedback, understanding evolving user needs, and ensuring that our product roadmap remains firmly aligned with delivering maximum value and satisfaction to our user base. This customer-centric approach will be a cornerstone of your success.
- • The ideal candidate will possess an extreme attention to detail, a demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex business processes, and a keen understanding of industry knowledge relevant to enterprise procurement and SaaS. You will be adept at navigating ambiguity, synthesizing information, and translating insights into actionable product strategies. Your communication skills, both written and oral, will be exceptional, enabling you to effectively engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, from engineers and designers to executives and customers.
- • The ability to prioritize ruthlessly is a non-negotiable requirement. In a fast-paced, high-growth environment, you will inevitably face competing demands and must be capable of making difficult decisions, even if they may disappoint certain customers or stakeholders, to ensure focus on the most impactful initiatives.
- • This role is based in our downtown San Francisco office, requiring a hybrid work model with 3 days per week in the office. 🎯 Requirements
- • 4 - 8+ years of Product Management experience, with a strong preference for experience in scaling SaaS products within a high-growth technology environment.
- • Proven track record of building and launching successful products, with experience in 0-to-1 product development being highly desirable.
- • Exceptional analytical skills, extreme attention to detail, and the ability to rapidly understand and synthesize complex business processes and industry-specific knowledge.
- • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers and executives.
- • Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and make tough decisions, even when faced with conflicting priorities or potential stakeholder disappointment.
