- • Own the end-to-end design of HALA’s flagship SME banking platform, translating complex financial workflows into intuitive, mobile-first experiences that delight founders, accountants, and finance teams across the MENAP region.
- • Lead discovery sprints with founders, CFOs, and operations managers to uncover pain points in cash-flow management, invoice financing, payroll, and multi-currency transactions; synthesise findings into clear problem statements and measurable design goals.
- • Craft high-fidelity prototypes in Figma that demonstrate micro-interactions, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), and localisation for Arabic, English, and Urdu, iterating rapidly based on usability testing with 8–12 users per sprint.
- • Establish and evolve HALA’s design system—colour, typography, spacing, iconography, and motion—ensuring consistency across iOS, Android, and web while enabling engineering teams to ship 30 % faster through reusable components and tokens.
- • Partner daily with product managers to define OKRs, prioritise features on a quarterly roadmap, and translate business KPIs (activation, retention, NPS) into user-centred design hypotheses that can be A/B tested in production.
- • Collaborate with engineers during sprint planning and code reviews, inspecting Storybook builds, providing redlines, and advocating for performance budgets (<150 ms interaction latency) so that pixel-perfect designs survive the shift to live code.
- • Champion inclusive design practices: run accessibility audits, maintain a contrast checker plugin, and mentor junior designers on writing alt-text and keyboard-navigable flows that serve users with low vision or motor impairments.
- • Drive strategic design initiatives such as embedded finance APIs, white-label card programmes, and AI-driven cash-flow forecasting dashboards, presenting vision decks to the executive team and securing funding for new bets.
- • Monitor competitive landscapes (Stripe, Mercury, Tabby, PayTabs) and regulatory changes (SAMA open banking, PCI-DSS) to ensure HALA’s experiences remain compliant, secure, and differentiated in a fast-moving fintech market.
- • Contribute to HALA’s design culture by hosting weekly critique sessions, publishing case studies on our public Dribbble and Medium channels, and speaking at regional UX conferences to attract top-tier talent and reinforce our brand as a design-led company.
- • Own success metrics post-launch: define instrumentation with Amplitude, analyse funnel drop-offs, and run quarterly design retros that feed learnings back into the roadmap, continuously raising the bar for customer delight and business impact.
