Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the internal deployment platform that enables self-serve onboarding of enterprise health systems, eliminating manual, engineering-dependent configuration steps that currently bottleneck growth.
- • Build scalable infrastructure to handle the full complexity and variability of workforce dynamics across hospital systems, including org structures, job codes, cost centers, and scheduling rules.
- • Design and implement a self-service configuration portal that allows hospital IT teams to build, validate, and launch digital twins of their workforce data without any Vitalize engineering involvement.
- • Transform unstructured health system context — such as workflows, constraints, and labor policies — into structured, validated configurations that power the Vitalize operating system.
- • Create click-to-configure integrations that allow deployment and customer success teams to add new system integrations without requiring engineering support at any stage.
- • Systematically replace tribal knowledge, manual processes, and ad-hoc scripting with automated, repeatable tooling to reduce time-to-go-live and increase deployment capacity.
- • Collaborate directly with deployment and customer success teams to observe real workflows, identify pain points, and build tooling that replaces rather than layers on top of existing processes.
- • Ship production-grade internal platforms that operators depend on daily, prioritizing usability, reliability, and scalability over external visibility.
- • Raise the technical bar by writing clean, maintainable code, improving system documentation, and mentoring peers to ensure long-term platform sustainability.
- • Iterate on product decisions based on direct customer feedback, ensuring deployment tooling evolves in alignment with actual user needs rather than assumed requirements.
- • Measure success through operational metrics: reduction in time-to-go-live, decrease in headcount per deployment, and increase in deployment volume without linear team growth.
- • Work in a product-focused engineering environment where internal tooling is treated as a core product, with direct impact on revenue capacity and market reach.
- • Engage in customer-facing conversations to understand deployment challenges firsthand and translate those insights into technical solutions.
- • Maintain a strong product instinct for internal users, designing interfaces and workflows that reduce cognitive load and eliminate friction for non-engineering teams.
- • Contribute to a culture where operational efficiency is valued as highly as customer-facing features, and where invisible infrastructure drives measurable business outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years shipping production software in a product-focused engineering role, ideally in fast-moving B2B SaaS
- • Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Postgres with full-stack experience
- • Proven ability to scope and deliver complex features end-to-end with minimal supervision
- • Experience building internal platforms that replaced manual, bespoke processes with scalable, self-serve systems
- • Product instinct for internal users — demonstrated by building tooling based on observed workflows, not assumptions
- • Customer orientation — comfort meeting with customers directly and letting feedback shape product decisions
🏖️ Benefits
- • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- • 401k with company match
- • Unlimited PTO
- • Bi-annual company retreats
- • Free lunch and dinner in-office
- • Relocation bonus, desk setup, and commute reimbursement
