- • Serve as a Senior Product Engineer in a remote-first, venture capital-backed startup environment, building and scaling AI-powered technology products used by thousands of daily users.
- • Collaborate directly with Product, Design, Commercial, Analytics, and Operations teams to design, prototype, and deliver features that solve real-world user problems.
- • Take end-to-end ownership of product features across the entire lifecycle—from ideation and architecture to implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration.
- • Work hands-on across the full stack, including backend systems (Ruby on Rails), frontend interfaces (React, TypeScript), databases (PostgreSQL), and cloud infrastructure (GCP).
- • Contribute to the development and evolution of AI-integrated systems using OpenAI and Claude models, ensuring seamless integration with product workflows.
- • Participate in architectural decision-making to improve platform scalability, reliability, and performance as the product scales globally.
- • Champion engineering best practices including code quality, testing, documentation, and observability across the engineering team.
- • Actively contribute to technical debt reduction and modernization of internal tooling and legacy systems to support rapid product iteration.
- • Operate with high autonomy in a fast-paced, experiment-driven culture that prioritizes pragmatism, measurable impact, and continuous improvement.
- • Stay adaptable and open to evolving the technology stack based on product needs, team feedback, and emerging industry standards.
- • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and psychological safety within the distributed team.
- • Engage in cross-functional planning sessions to align engineering priorities with business goals and user outcomes.
- • Maintain a strong focus on user-centric design and data-informed decision-making while balancing speed with long-term system health.
- • Represent engineering in product roadmap discussions, providing technical feasibility assessments and alternative solutions to product requirements.
- • Contribute to on-call rotations and incident response processes to ensure system reliability and rapid resolution of production issues.
- • Embrace a remote-first work model with asynchronous communication, requiring strong written communication, time management, and self-direction.
- • Participate in regular team retrospectives, sprint planning, and code reviews to maintain alignment and continuous learning.
