đź“‹ Description
- • Are you a visionary Product Manager with a passion for revolutionizing how businesses leverage data? Matillion, a leader in intelligent data integration, is seeking a high-caliber Senior Product Manager to join our dynamic team in Manchester. This pivotal role places you at the epicenter of our product strategy, acting as the crucial bridge between groundbreaking engineering initiatives and tangible, real-world business impact. You will not merely be a manager of features; you will be the principal architect shaping the very essence of how our global user base interacts with and derives value from our cutting-edge Data Productivity Cloud.
- • In this fast-paced and intensely competitive market, your ability to expertly synthesize complex market signals, understand evolving customer needs, and translate them into a clear, cohesive, and actionable product direction will be paramount. This role demands a strategic thinker who can anticipate market shifts and position Matillion to not just compete, but to lead.
- • You will serve as a critical translator and liaison between our Go-To-Market (GTM) teams – including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success – and our highly skilled Research and Development (R&D) squads. This necessitates a unique and rare blend of profound technical fluency, enabling you to grasp the intricacies of data architecture and engineering, coupled with genuine, deep-seated customer empathy, allowing you to understand and champion user needs.
- • We are looking for an individual who can seamlessly transition from diving deep into the technical weeds of complex data architectures and integration challenges one moment, to articulating a simplified, compelling, and persuasive product vision to diverse stakeholders – from executive leadership to engineering teams – the next. Your ability to distill complexity into clarity will be a key differentiator.
- • If you are energized by the challenge of transforming seemingly "impossible" customer requirements and complex market demands into elegant, robust, and shippable product solutions, then Matillion is the environment where you can truly thrive and make a significant impact.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the full product lifecycle, from ideation and discovery through to development, launch, and iteration. You will be instrumental in defining the product roadmap, prioritizing backlog items, and ensuring that our product strategy aligns perfectly with our overarching business objectives and market opportunities.
- • You will conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify unmet needs, emerging trends, and potential areas for innovation. This data-driven approach will inform your product decisions and ensure we are always building solutions that resonate with our target audience.
- • Collaborating closely with engineering leads, UX designers, and data scientists, you will translate product requirements into detailed specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring a shared understanding and alignment throughout the development process.
- • You will be responsible for defining and tracking key product metrics, analyzing performance, and using these insights to drive continuous improvement and optimize the user experience.
- • A significant part of your role will involve championing the product internally and externally, effectively communicating the value proposition, product strategy, and roadmap to various internal teams and external stakeholders, including customers and partners.
- • You will play a key role in defining and refining our AI-powered capabilities, particularly with Maia, our virtual data engineer, ensuring it delivers exceptional value and accelerates data pipeline creation and management for our users.
- • This is an opportunity to join #TeamGreen, where our mission to empower data professionals is paramount. Our collaborative culture drives us forward, and we encourage everyone to contribute their best efforts to achieve something truly remarkable and make a lasting impact on the data landscape.
- • You will be empowered to make critical decisions, take ownership of your product areas, and contribute directly to Matillion's growth and success in the rapidly evolving data technology sector.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Product Manager, ideally within a SaaS, data integration, or data analytics environment.
- • Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data architectures.
- • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts and market needs into clear product strategies and roadmaps.
- • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- • Experience with agile development methodologies and a track record of successfully launching and iterating on software products.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus opportunities.
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
- • Generous paid time off (PTO) and company holidays.
- • Opportunities for professional development, training, and career advancement.
- • A vibrant and collaborative work environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork and innovation.
