Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own end-to-end product outcomes for Prividium, Matter Labs’ zero-knowledge-based private settlement infrastructure, from customer discovery through delivery, measurement, and iteration.
- • Immerse in institutional customer workflows to capture revealed preferences, weigh them against stated needs, and build data-backed product intuitions that align with real-world financial system constraints.
- • Synthesize customer learnings, sales requests, engineering priorities, and strategic vision into a sequenced, executable roadmap that aligns cross-functional teams.
- • Define what to build and why, surface and reconcile tradeoffs between startup speed and institutional rigor, and drive initiatives through cross-functional blockers as the de facto CEO of your initiatives.
- • Introduce and own measurable metrics for product success, track performance, and iterate based on data to ensure continuous improvement and impact.
- • Enable sales by reviewing personalized collateral, joining prospective client calls, and translating technical capabilities into commercial value to help close institutional deals.
- • Bake institutional-grade requirements — including control, permissioning, auditability, performance guarantees, operational clarity, risk management, SLAs, and procurement — into product decisions from day one.
- • Proactively identify and unblock friction across engineering, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
- • Maintain a written, opinionated where-to-play / how-to-win strategy for your product area, reviewed quarterly and updated based on market shifts and feedback.
- • Conduct deep market research to understand competitive landscape, ecosystem players, differentiation points, and areas where Matter Labs lags or leads.
- • Partner credibly with engineering teams by demonstrating technical reasoning, treating technical debt as a first-class citizen, and earning trust through intellectual honesty and tradeoff transparency.
- • Partner credibly with business development by translating commercial objections into product clarity, avoiding bespoke feature requests, and identifying scalable product paths.
- • Communicate with clarity, humility, positivity, and bias for action across teams with divergent incentives, contexts, and communication styles.
- • Operate as a builder who leads by example — thriving in the feedback loop between customers and engineers, shipping outcomes end-to-end, and motivating teams through action rather than direction.
- • Leverage AI tools to accelerate thinking, improve decision-making, and increase shipping velocity, adapting workflows to each step-function improvement in AI models.
- • Think from first principles, structure complex problems into clear mental models, and challenge assumptions to uncover non-obvious solutions.
- • Embrace ambiguity as a catalyst for action, taking initiative to gather information through execution rather than waiting for perfect clarity.
- • Operate in a fully remote environment with flexible hours across global time zones, requiring alignment with stakeholders in North America and Europe.
- • Travel occasionally for team alignment, industry events, or client meetings as necessary to execute the role effectively.
- • Contribute to company strategy by connecting product insights to broader market shifts and institutional finance trends.
- • Demonstrate an insatiable appetite for learning, joy in being wrong, and deep alignment with Matter Labs’ mission to advance personal freedom through private financial infrastructure.
🎯 Requirements
- • Meaningful institutional finance exposure: direct experience building products for financial institutions or regulated financial infrastructure, with understanding of risk, compliance, controls, SLAs, and procurement.
- • Product excellence: proven track record of taking a product from 0→1 to product-market fit or scaling an existing product through a meaningful inflection point.
- • Technical fluency: ability to ship complex technical products, hold your own in architecture discussions, understand tradeoffs, and ask the right implementation questions.
- • Digital assets fluency: deep grasp of blockchain mechanics, familiarity with Web3 dev tools, first-hand experience with onchain protocols, and ability to translate Web3 trust guarantees to non-crypto-native audiences.
- • GTM experience: contributed to world-class go-to-market strategy or execution.
- • TradFi fluency: fluent in banking, payments, and capital markets terminology and workflows.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote work model with flexibility to work wherever most effective.
- • Freedom & ownership culture: no time tracking, minimal bureaucracy, results-driven evaluation.
- • Optional travel to team or industry events.
- • Opportunity to build foundational infrastructure for the future of global finance alongside a16z and Union Square Ventures-backed team.
- • Culture of intellectual honesty, first-principles thinking, and empowerment of executors.
- • Work with a team of 90+ with eight years of production zero-knowledge infrastructure experience.
