  • • Own the end-to-end product vision and strategy for Skimmer’s pool and spa service platform, aligning product goals with company-wide business objectives and customer needs.
  • • Define, prioritize, and evolve the product roadmap by balancing innovation, technical debt, and direct customer feedback from 7,000+ active users.
  • • Lead product discovery initiatives including user research, customer interviews, and prototype testing to uncover new opportunities and refine existing features.
  • • Translate customer insights and business priorities into clear, actionable product requirements for design and engineering teams.
  • • Manage sprint cycles and delivery timelines with a focus on rapid, high-quality execution while maintaining platform reliability and usability.
  • • Analyze product usage data and customer feedback through tools like Mixpanel and Pendo to validate decisions, measure success, and drive iterative improvements.
  • • Serve as the internal domain expert on the pool and spa service industry, monitoring competitor offerings, emerging technologies, and evolving field service trends.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, customer success, and leadership to ensure a cohesive, intuitive, and indispensable customer experience.
  • • Ensure all product decisions reflect Skimmer’s core values: customer success as our success, humble and diverse teams, urgency in driving results, and transparent communication.
  • • Within the first three months, conduct a comprehensive assessment of customer needs across web and mobile platforms, translate findings into prioritized roadmap items, and begin direct engagement with customers to validate assumptions.
  • • Maintain deep familiarity with Skimmer’s current product suite and roadmap, ensuring alignment between feature development and user workflows in the field.
  • • Leverage AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Replit, or V0 to accelerate prototyping, research, and development workflows.
  • • Utilize standard product management tools including Figma, Sketch, Azure DevOps, Notion, Jira, Mixpanel, and Pendo to manage workflows, documentation, and analytics.
  • • Apply agile methodologies to manage product lifecycles, ensuring continuous delivery of value while maintaining quality and user satisfaction.
  • • Champion a data-informed product culture, grounding decisions in quantitative metrics and qualitative insights from real-world field service professionals.
  • • Drive adoption and retention by ensuring the platform remains intuitive, reliable, and essential to daily operations of pool service businesses.
  • • Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, translating field-level pain points into scalable product solutions.
  • • Contribute to building a world-class product experience recognized for its industry-leading NPS score of 68 and top ratings on platforms like Capterra.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Experience leading development teams in building native web applications with at least one successful product from concept to launch
  • • Proven track record in end-to-end product development within a high-growth SaaS or tech environment
  • • Strong user empathy with a passion for field-focused design and deep understanding of UX best practices
  • • Proficiency with product tools including Figma, Jira, Notion, Mixpanel, Pendo, Azure DevOps, and similar platforms
  • • Experience utilizing AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Replit, or V0 to accelerate product development
  • • Familiarity with agile methodologies and a data-informed product mindset
