đź“‹ Description
- • LoanCrate Inc. is revolutionizing the mortgage lending industry by building AI-native tooling to automate complex workflows. Our mission is to simplify and reduce the cost of home-buying for both lenders and borrowers, addressing the inefficiencies of outdated software systems that currently cost lenders over $11,000 per loan origination. Since our inception in 2020, our remote team has facilitated over $85 billion in new home loans, driven by a passion for tackling industry complexities through collaboration, open communication, and a fun, fast-paced environment.
- • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving the future of our product offerings, focusing on an end-to-end product area. You will be deeply embedded with a world-class Engineering team, maintain constant communication with our customers, and make critical decisions about product development. This is not a role focused solely on backlog management; you will be instrumental in setting strategic direction and inspiring a team to follow it.
- • The mortgage technology sector, while perhaps not immediately glamorous, represents a massive $2 trillion market still reliant on legacy software. LoanCrate is at the forefront of leveraging AI to transform this landscape. Our Engineering team is exceptional – fast, senior, and possessing a profound product-centric mindset. The challenges are significant, the stakes are high, and the impact of your work will be felt across billions of dollars in home loans.
- • The ideal candidate is energized by close proximity to customers and the technical details of product development. You possess a deep curiosity for the mortgage domain, understanding not just user interactions but the underlying operational 'why.' You thrive in environments that value clarity and initiative over rigid processes, crafting clear specifications that engineers value and delivering products you are proud of.
- • **Key Responsibilities:**
- • **End-to-End Product Lifecycle Ownership:** Manage the entire product lifecycle from discovery and definition through delivery and iteration, ensuring alignment with Engineering and Design to achieve desired outcomes.
- • **Customer Discovery and Insights:** Lead in-depth customer discovery initiatives with mortgage lenders, loan officers, and operations teams. Conduct interviews, analyze workflows, and translate findings directly into impactful product decisions.
- • **Roadmap Development and Execution:** Build and maintain a strategic product roadmap informed by customer evidence, business objectives, and technical feasibility. Hold the team accountable for delivering against this roadmap.
- • **AI Product Innovation:** Drive the integration of non-deterministic LLMs into reliable, mission-critical mortgage automation tools. Define requirements, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and establish clear success criteria in collaboration with Engineering.
- • **Clear Product Specifications:** Develop well-structured product specifications and acceptance criteria that provide Engineering and Design teams with the necessary context and clarity for rapid, intentional iteration.
- • **Outcome-Oriented Metrics:** Define and track clear success metrics for all major initiatives. Drive post-launch iteration to ensure desired business and user outcomes are achieved.
- • **Customer Advocacy in Technical Discussions:** Act as the primary advocate for the customer during technical architecture discussions, ensuring user experience is prioritized and protected against compromising tradeoffs.
- • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner closely with Sales and Customer Success teams to refine product positioning and influence sales cycles for your product area.
- • **Strategic Scope Management:** Make decisive calls on product scope, focusing on shipping well-executed, impactful products with conviction.
- • **Product Strategy Contribution:** Actively contribute to LoanCrate's overall product strategy through participation in roadmap planning sessions and cross-team initiatives.
