đź“‹ Description

  • • DeepL is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the Account & Team Experience within our Business Acceleration Tech area. This pivotal role sits at the crucial intersection of enterprise customer needs and our internal platform capabilities, ensuring that our largest clients receive world-class account management while simultaneously making it effortless for DeepL's product teams to build enterprise-ready features from the outset.
  • • For our enterprise customers, you will be instrumental in owning the strategy and roadmap for how large organizations onboard, manage their teams, configure access permissions, and effectively scale their DeepL usage across potentially thousands of users. This involves a deep understanding of enterprise workflows and the challenges faced by IT and procurement departments.
  • • You will be a key partner to our Sales, Customer Success Managers (CSMs), and directly engage with key accounts to deeply understand their unique requirements. Your insights will directly inform the development of features that are critical for winning competitive deals and solidifying DeepL's position as the preferred AI solution for large enterprises.
  • • A core part of your responsibility will be to lead a collaborative process involving cross-functional teams to translate complex user and business needs into actionable development requirements that deliver tangible impact. This requires strong analytical skills and the ability to distill complex problems into clear, concise specifications.
  • • Ultimately, you will ship features that position DeepL as the undeniable choice for Fortune 500 IT and procurement teams, addressing their stringent demands for security, scalability, and administrative control.
  • • For our internal product teams, you will define and build the foundational platform strategy that enables new DeepL products, such as Voice, Agentic, and future launches, to seamlessly integrate robust account and team management functionalities into their user experiences. This ensures a consistent and powerful enterprise-ready foundation across our entire product suite.
  • • You will proactively partner with various product teams to understand their specific needs and identify reusable components, systems, and architectural patterns. The goal is to accelerate enterprise feature development across all of DeepL, fostering efficiency and consistency.
  • • Working closely with Design and Engineering, you will identify opportunities for shared UI components and design patterns. This collaboration extends to partnering with our dedicated design system team to ensure a cohesive and consistent user experience across all DeepL products, reinforcing our brand identity and usability standards.
  • • You will act as the "PM for internal customers," adopting a user-centric approach to understand the challenges and requirements of our internal teams. Your focus will be on building solutions that create significant leverage and drive adoption through demonstrable value, rather than through mandates, fostering a collaborative and supportive development environment.
  • • Across both external and internal stakeholders, you will own the complete product lifecycle. This encompasses the entire journey from initial discovery and user research, through to development, successful launch, and the ongoing measurement of business impact. You will be accountable for the success of the products you manage.
  • • A critical aspect of this role is clear and effective communication. You will be responsible for articulating the product strategy and vision to a diverse range of audiences, from C-suite executives at enterprise clients to the dedicated engineering teams building the product. This requires adapting your communication style and content to resonate with each specific group.
  • • This role demands a strategic thinker who can navigate ambiguity, define clear product visions, and drive execution. You will be a key player in shaping the future of enterprise AI solutions at DeepL, contributing directly to our mission of becoming the global leader in trusted, intelligent AI technology.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, with a strong preference for a blend of customer-facing B2B SaaS products and platform/internal tooling work.
  • • Solid understanding of the B2B SaaS domain, particularly in areas such as account management, user/team administration, or enterprise infrastructure.
  • • Proven experience in building and launching products utilized by large enterprises, ideally at Fortune 500 scale, with an understanding of complex organizational structures and their associated challenges.
  • • Demonstrated ability to define product strategy in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments; you should be adept at identifying what needs to be built, not just executing pre-defined roadmaps.
  • • Comfort with a high degree of autonomy and navigating uncertainty; you should thrive in situations where the path forward is not clearly defined and be capable of charting a course through ambiguity.
  • • Strong platform thinking capabilities, with a clear understanding of internal adoption challenges and the ability to build platforms that teams genuinely want to use.
  • • Data-informed decision-making skills: You should be adept at validating hypotheses with evidence but also possess the pragmatism to make decisions with incomplete information and learn quickly from outcomes.
  • • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to ground your insights and recommendations in robust data and customer understanding.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Diverse and internationally distributed team with employees from over 90 nationalities, fostering a global community and a shared mission.
  • • Open communication and regular, direct, actionable feedback, emphasizing empathy and collaboration.
  • • Flexible remote work options and flexible working hours, allowing you to choose your work location and integrate work with your lifestyle, while ensuring team collaboration.
  • • Regular in-person team events, including local gatherings, business unit events, new-joiner onboardings, and company-wide events to foster connection.
  • • Monthly full-day "Hack Fridays" dedicated to pursuing passion projects and collaborating with other teams, encouraging initiative and creativity.
  • • Comprehensive health insurance to ensure your well-being is prioritized.
  • • 30 days of annual leave (excluding public holidays) plus access to mental health resources for overall well-being.
  • • Annual learning budget to support your professional development and career growth.
