Senior Product Manager, Billing

📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end vision, strategy, and execution of Harvey’s billing infrastructure to support enterprise-scale SaaS operations across 60+ countries.
• • Partner with engineering and design teams to build accurate, auditable, flexible, and intuitive billing systems that align with enterprise customer expectations for transparency and trust.
• • Design and deliver customer-facing billing experiences including invoices, usage reporting, account-level financial transparency, and self-service portals.
• • Collaborate with GTM, finance, legal, sales, and customer success teams to enable complex enterprise contracts, ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606), and support financial reporting needs.
• • Develop and scale the underlying billing platform to handle event capture, usage aggregation, invoicing, tax calculations, accounting handoffs, and operational controls as Harvey’s product usage grows.
• • Evaluate, integrate, and optimize third-party billing platforms to support Harvey’s evolving pricing models and packaging strategies.
• • Translate complex commercial and financial requirements into clear product requirements that balance customer experience with internal operational integrity.
• • Establish systems and workflows that are reliable, transparent, and adaptable to changing regulatory, contractual, and market conditions.
• • Act as the primary product liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders including CFO, legal counsel, and finance controllers.
• • Proactively identify gaps in billing workflows and drive improvements that reduce errors, improve cash flow, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• • Influence roadmap priorities by aligning billing initiatives with broader company goals around scaling enterprise adoption and sustaining long-term revenue growth.
• • Ensure billing capabilities meet the needs of both external customers and internal operators, from finance teams to customer support agents handling billing inquiries.
• • Maintain deep alignment with product, engineering, and legal to ensure billing logic accurately reflects product usage, pricing tiers, and contractual terms.
• • Champion a data-driven approach to billing product development, using metrics and customer feedback to guide iteration and prioritize features.
• • Navigate ambiguity and complexity in a fast-paced environment where billing systems directly impact customer retention, financial accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
