• • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of Camunda's Core Platform, with a specific focus on Zeebe, our robust, cloud-native workflow engine. This position is inherently technical and product-centric, demanding a profound understanding of customer needs, alongside deep expertise in system scalability, performance optimization, unwavering reliability, and stringent security protocols. You will be the driving force behind the strategic direction and execution of our distributed workflow orchestration engine, collaborating intimately with our world-class engineering teams, our valued customers, and key internal stakeholders.
• • Your responsibilities will encompass defining and refining the product strategy, meticulously managing the roadmap for our foundational platform capabilities, and ensuring that the platform not only meets but exceeds the complex, demanding requirements of distributed systems operating at an immense scale. You will be the voice of the customer and the market within the product development lifecycle, translating intricate needs into actionable product requirements and strategic initiatives.
• • Key responsibilities include:

• • Conducting thorough evaluations and rigorous prioritization of all incoming feature requests, ensuring that development efforts are aligned with strategic objectives and deliver maximum customer value.
• • Ensuring the self-managed engineering team is consistently equipped with clear, well-defined epics and user stories, facilitating efficient and effective development cycles.
• • Continuously assessing Camunda’s market demand, identifying key areas of differentiation, and analyzing the competitive landscape. This requires close collaboration with our Pre-Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, and other customer-facing teams to gather crucial market intelligence.
• • Championing the development of platform capabilities that enhance scalability, resilience, and developer experience, ensuring Zeebe remains the leading choice for complex workflow orchestration.
• • Engaging directly with customers to understand their challenges, gather feedback, and validate product hypotheses, ensuring our roadmap is deeply rooted in real-world needs.
• • Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to develop effective Go-To-Market strategies for new platform features and releases.
• • Contributing to the technical documentation and enablement materials for the Core Platform, empowering users and internal teams.
• • Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and workflow automation.
• • Driving product initiatives from ideation through to successful launch and adoption, ensuring a seamless and positive customer journey.
• • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making within the product team.
• • Translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise product requirements and user stories for the engineering team.
• • Owning the product backlog for the Core Platform, ensuring it is well-groomed, prioritized, and aligned with the overall product strategy.
• • Acting as a subject matter expert for the Core Platform, both internally and externally, providing insights and guidance on its capabilities and use cases.
• • Measuring and analyzing the success of platform features post-launch, iterating based on performance data and customer feedback.
• • Building strong relationships with engineering leadership to ensure alignment on technical direction and resource allocation.
• • Contributing to the long-term product vision and strategy for Camunda's core offerings, anticipating future market needs and technological advancements.
• • Ensuring the platform adheres to the highest standards of security, compliance, and operational excellence.
• • Driving initiatives that improve the developer experience for those building on top of the Camunda platform.
