- • Afresh Technologies is at the forefront of revolutionizing the fresh food industry through cutting-edge AI. We partner with major grocery chains nationwide, including Albertsons, Wakefern, Meijer, and Stater Bros, to optimize the ordering of billions of dollars worth of fresh food across over 12,000 grocery departments. Having achieved a remarkable 70% growth in 2025, we've successfully expanded our platform to encompass all fresh departments, launched our comprehensive full-store suite, and introduced our innovative DC Fresh Buying solution. Our core mission is to eradicate food waste and ensure that fresh food is accessible to everyone. In 2025 alone, our software contributed to saving an astounding 200 million pounds of food waste. If you are seeking a role where your contributions have a tangible impact on a massive scale, drive significant social good, and allow you to shape the future of fresh food, there is no better time to join our dynamic team.
- • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to spearhead our Data & AI product initiatives. This role is pivotal, as data forms the very engine of Afresh's competitive advantage. Data is one of our key differentiators, directly influencing the success of our applied science efforts and the overall customer experience.
- • In this capacity, you will be responsible for leading 2-3 active customer integrations from inception to completion. You will work hands-on with our dedicated data teams to pinpoint bottlenecks, collaboratively brainstorm innovative solutions, and explore how advanced AI tools can dramatically accelerate integration timelines and enhance our integration capabilities. These real-world integration experiences will serve as the bedrock for your product strategy, enabling you to develop solutions that are both impactful and relevant.
- • You will have the unique opportunity to conceptualize and build entirely new products that further solidify our data platform's differentiation and expand our integration prowess. Specifically, you will lead the '0 to 1' development of two new data products designed to productize our data capabilities and unlock novel value for our customers. Artificial intelligence will be a central theme throughout these initiatives, from developing AI-powered debugging tools that empower customers to resolve issues independently, to leveraging AI-assisted integration development to expedite our delivery processes, and implementing intelligent data quality monitoring systems that proactively identify and diagnose potential problems.
- • This role demands a deep and comprehensive understanding of our data systems and a keen insight into the customer-facing needs associated with the integration experience. You will conduct in-depth user research and collaborate closely with our design team to craft intuitive user-facing data ingestion monitors, alert systems, and debugging interfaces. You will be an integral part of an exceptionally dedicated team of engineers, designers, and product managers, working collaboratively to define and own the product vision for how AI can enable us to accelerate our pace, enhance our operational efficiency, and tackle one of our most significant product challenges – a challenge that is absolutely critical to unlocking accelerated growth at Afresh.
- • Key Responsibilities include:
- • Leading Customer Integrations: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of 2-3 active customer integrations as the primary integration lead. Bring structure, process optimization, and best practices to how the team executes integrations. Leverage learnings from these integrations to inform and drive integration velocity initiatives, gaining critical insights into the system's end-to-end functionality.
- • Driving Integration Velocity & Automation: Develop an ambitious roadmap for integration velocity, targeting a 60% reduction in integration time. Explore and evaluate potential vendors that can enhance AI integration development or overall velocity. Identify and resolve bottlenecks within our system from both technical and operational perspectives. Own AI-powered initiatives aimed at compressing integration timelines, including the development of Integration Assistant tooling and AI Integration Discovery projects.
- • Building Automated Data Quality Products: Establish a clear vision and product strategy for automated, customer-facing data quality reporting and analytics. Productize data quality monitoring as a key customer-facing feature, incorporating AI-powered debugging capabilities. Empower customers with transparent visibility into their data health, utilizing AI to automatically diagnose issues and provide actionable insights.
- • Owning Data Products Holistically: Ensure our data models are best-in-class, effectively modeling fresh data and addressing unique fresh data challenges. Understand how our data products are utilized by downstream teams (e.g., POP, SS, DC) and optimize them to meet their specific needs. Collaborate with Store Solutions & DC PMs to define data requirements and translate them into automated data contracts and quality checks. Own the product strategy and execution for our data ingestion platform, encompassing our data model, data pipelines, relevant user interfaces, and data monitoring capabilities.
- • Strategic Product Initiatives: Lead the scoping, definition, and eventual execution of strategies for monetizing our data assets within a 'Logic as a Service' framework. Own the product strategy and roadmap for Recipe Management. Effectively communicate the business and technical rationale behind your strategic decisions and champion your vision across the organization.
- • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with our Deployment and Customer Success Teams, Engineering, and Design departments to bring our product vision to life, guiding products from initial conception through to successful launch. Through rigorous user research and data analysis, develop detailed user stories and product requirements, engage in usability and prototype testing, and define and monitor key success metrics to ensure maximum impact.
