- • Dandy is at the forefront of revolutionizing the multi-billion dollar dental industry, transforming antiquated processes with cutting-edge technology. We are building the foundational operating system for dental practices globally, empowering clinicians and their teams with innovative tools and unparalleled support. As we scale our ambitious mission, we are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior/Principal Product Manager to spearhead the strategy and development of our Doctor-Facing Design Interface.
- • This is a critical, high-impact technical role focused on creating a seamless, intuitive, and high-fidelity user experience that bridges the gap between our sophisticated internal CAD software and the needs of dental professionals. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of collaborative CAD by imagining and building the interface that allows dentists to interact with intricate 3D design previews, engage in live design reviews, and eventually leverage real-time AI-powered crown generation directly at the chairside.
- • As a Product Manager at Dandy, you will operate within a highly collaborative and impactful function, serving as the essential connective tissue between our Design, Engineering, Operations, and Business Leadership teams. Your responsibilities will span both strategic vision setting and meticulous execution, ensuring alignment and driving progress across all facets of product development.
- • You will be responsible for defining the overarching product vision and roadmap for our doctor-facing design product. This involves a strategic evolution of our existing 1st-party internal design software, transforming it into an exceptionally intuitive and user-friendly interface tailored specifically for dentists.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to deeply understand the intricate workflows of our internal design workforce. By dissecting these processes, you will identify the critical "levers" within the CAD workflow that should be strategically exposed to doctors for their influence and input. This includes areas such as anatomy, margin refinement, occlusion adjustments, and shade selection, ensuring the final output perfectly matches clinical requirements.
- • You will act as the crucial bridge between our CAD Engineering, Machine Learning (ML), UX Design, and Manufacturing teams. Your leadership will ensure a perfect alignment between what the doctor envisions and what is ultimately produced, guaranteeing the integrity and accuracy of the final dental restorations.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to conducting comprehensive customer discovery initiatives, in-depth market research, and thorough competitive analysis. These activities will be vital in informing your roadmap decisions and uncovering new opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- • You will manage the entire product lifecycle, from the initial spark of an idea through to successful launch and continuous iteration. This will occur within a dynamic, highly agile, and collaborative development environment where rapid feedback and adaptation are paramount.
- • Utilizing a data-driven approach, you will leverage both quantitative metrics and qualitative insights to rigorously measure product impact. You will effectively communicate these results to stakeholders, using them to continuously refine the product direction and ensure we are meeting and exceeding user expectations.
- • This role demands a product thinker who is both creative and deeply curious, capable of developing and nurturing a compelling vision for Dandy's product suite. We are seeking an experienced Senior or Principal Product Manager who thrives in a hyper-growth, customer-obsessed organizational setting, demonstrating a proven ability to navigate complexity and drive impactful outcomes.
- • You will be the "Translator," adept at taking a complex, internal-only technical tool and meticulously stripping away the technical jargon and "noise" to craft a simplified yet powerful user experience for a non-technical expert – the dentist. Your ability to empathize with the end-user and understand their unique challenges and desires will be paramount.
- • A strong understanding of 3D graphics and rendering is essential, enabling you to grasp the constraints and possibilities of presenting complex 3D assets within web or application environments. This fluency will be critical in designing an effective and visually accurate interface.
- • You will possess a high bias-for-action, thriving in the fast-paced nature of hyper-growth environments. You should be comfortable seamlessly transitioning from high-level strategic thinking to detailed, "nitty-gritty" specification writing within the same day, demonstrating agility and efficiency.
- • Clinical empathy is a core requirement. You must be genuinely obsessed with the end-user experience, eager to spend time in dental offices to deeply understand how a doctor envisions interacting with digital restorative workflows, ensuring our product truly meets their needs.
- • Experience in taking an internal tool and successfully productizing it for external customers (0-1 experience) is highly desirable, showcasing a proven track record of bridging internal capabilities with external market needs.
- • Previous experience within the Dental, MedTech, or sophisticated "Pro-sumer" creative tools industries is a significant advantage, providing valuable context and domain expertise.
- • A technical background, such as prior experience as a software engineer or a deep understanding of ML model deployment, will be highly beneficial in navigating the technical intricacies of this role.
