📋 Description

• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for Taxwell’s Document Intelligence Platform, defining vision, strategy, and roadmap to power both B2C and B2B tax experiences.
• Champion customer- and partner-first design of intelligent document processing solutions that automate data ingestion from financial documents, reducing manual entry and improving accuracy for taxpayers and tax preparers.
• Establish measurable outcomes for the platform, aligning product goals with business objectives, compliance requirements, and technological innovation in tax and financial services.
• Drive ideation, experimentation, and delivery of next-generation workflows leveraging OCR, AI, OFX integrations, and emerging data exchange standards to transform complex documents into actionable tax insights.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, AI/ML, compliance, legal, and data privacy teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant document processing capabilities.
• Leverage customer feedback, usage analytics, and market research to identify friction points and opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and enhanced data quality across all tax workflows.
• Monitor and integrate emerging trends in AI-driven document understanding, financial data standards, and regulatory developments impacting tax document handling.
• Communicate product direction, priorities, and impact clearly and persuasively to executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to secure alignment and buy-in.
• Own continuous evolution of the platform roadmap, balancing innovation with reliability, scalability, and adherence to federal and state tax compliance standards.
• Serve as a thought leader in intelligent document processing within the tax industry, shaping how Taxwell captures, interprets, and leverages financial data across consumer and professional platforms.
• Ensure all product decisions reflect responsible AI practices, data privacy principles, and regulatory obligations in alignment with Taxwell’s commitment to compliance and customer trust.
• Partner with legal and regulatory teams to validate that document ingestion, storage, and processing systems meet all applicable tax, financial, and data protection requirements.
• Foster a culture of data-driven decision making, using quantitative and qualitative insights to prioritize features, measure success, and iterate on product performance.
• Advocate for seamless, secure, and intuitive user experiences that simplify data-heavy workflows for DIY taxpayers and professional tax preparers alike.
• Act as the primary product liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment on platform capabilities, timelines, and deliverables.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7 years of product management experience in software, fintech, tax, or financial services
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across technical, business, and compliance functions
• Experience with agile methodologies and design thinking practices
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills with ability to evolve strategy based on research and data
• Passion for innovation in tax, financial services, and document processing
