- • Own the end-to-end product roadmap for Flex card, Dave’s newest pay-in-4 card product, from onboarding and activation to spend, repayment, and member retention.
- • Drive key metrics including offer-to-activation conversion, card usage frequency, repayment behavior, and long-term member retention through data-informed product decisions.
- • Lead cross-functional squads across Engineering, Design, Credit, Underwriting, Legal, and Operations to deliver high-impact features with speed and precision.
- • Translate member insights and performance data into prioritized product backlogs that balance user experience, financial risk, and business growth.
- • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify high-impact opportunities across the member funnel and validate product hypotheses before scaling.
- • Shape Flex card’s evolution as a multi-product experience integrated with ExtraCash and Dave Banking, ensuring seamless financial workflows for members.
- • Ship features rapidly while maintaining focus on long-term product health, member outcomes, and regulatory compliance in a high-stakes fintech environment.
- • Collaborate with senior leaders to propose, refine, and execute new product initiatives that align with Dave’s mission of financial inclusion for underserved Americans.
- • Champion Flex card as a top-of-wallet solution for paycheck-to-paycheck consumers, replacing traditional credit products with cashflow-based, no-credit-check alternatives.
- • Build and maintain clear, actionable product documentation and communication to ensure alignment across engineering, design, and business teams.
- • Use AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, and execution while maintaining rigorous standards for member impact and product quality.
- • Monitor and interpret product performance using SQL and analytics platforms like Looker, Mode, or Tableau to guide iterative improvements.
- • Navigate complex regulatory landscapes and operational constraints inherent in consumer credit products while preserving product simplicity and accessibility.
- • Lead product discovery processes that prioritize member needs over internal assumptions, ensuring features are built for real financial vulnerability.
- • Maintain ownership of Flex card’s success through launch and beyond, adapting strategy based on real-time member feedback and market dynamics.
- • Represent Flex card internally and externally with clarity, conviction, and data-backed reasoning to secure buy-in from stakeholders and leadership.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years in fintech, lending, cards, or related consumer financial products
- • Proven track record of improving growth, conversion, and retention in consumer products
- • Proven ability to manage a complex product surface area with many stakeholders, using strong product judgment to balance user experience, risk, and business outcomes
- • Experience working closely with senior leaders to propose, refine, and ship new initiatives
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable using data to inform decisions (SQL and/or tools like Looker, Mode, Tableau, or similar)
- • Proven ability to use AI tools as a force multiplier for speed, quality, and impact
