- • Senior Product Manager, Freight role at Mudflap Inc. focused on building next-generation freight products for the $800B trucking industry, helping carriers save on fuel costs and connecting fuel stop partners with hard-to-reach customers.
- • Own key areas of Mudflap’s freight marketplace roadmap from discovery through launch and iteration; partner directly with customers to identify opportunities and validate solutions; drive cross-functional execution with engineering, design, data, operations, and commercial teams; define and measure success through marketplace, engagement, growth, and business metrics; leverage AI-powered workflows to improve product discovery, customer insights, specification development, and execution.
- • Mudflap serves the trucking industry with market-leading payment products that help truckers save thousands on fuel while providing fuel stop partners access to new customers; backed by top-tier venture investors and recognized in the Forbes Fintech 50 list; core team includes talent from Disney, Uber, Procore, DoorDash, Google, Meta, Capital One, Affirm, and Brex.
- • Develop deep expertise in carrier and broker workflows, marketplace dynamics, and freight operations; balance needs of carriers, brokers, and Mudflap to create sustainable marketplace growth; communicate product vision, priorities, and tradeoffs clearly across stakeholders; grow professionally and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in freight, logistics, transportation technology, marketplaces, fintech, or related industries
- • Strong track record of owning products from concept through launch and measurable business impact
- • Experience working on operationally complex products involving multiple stakeholders and real-world constraints
- • Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, network effects, liquidity challenges, and participant incentives
- • Strong customer empathy and ability to translate customer problems into practical product solutions
- • Excellent prioritization and decision-making skills in ambiguous environments
- • Analytical mindset with the ability to define metrics, diagnose problems, and make data-informed decisions
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills
- • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- • Comfort operating in fast-moving environments where priorities evolve as new information emerges
- • Proven ability to leverage AI to increase personal and team effectiveness across product discovery, customer insights, specification development, and decision-making
