• • You will own a dedicated squad focused on enhancing the developer experience across MongoDB Atlas, transforming ambiguous growth opportunities into concrete product strategies and measurable business outcomes.
• • This role involves identifying high-impact opportunities, designing and executing experiments, and building innovative experiences that demonstrably improve user activation, engagement, and long-term retention.
• • As a Senior Product Manager, you will be instrumental in defining and optimizing key moments in the customer lifecycle, from initial discovery and onboarding to expansion and sustained success.
• • You will have the opportunity to specialize in one of two core Growth problem spaces: Activation or Expansion, with your specific focus determined during the interview process based on your interests and expertise.
• • **Activation Focus:** This track is dedicated to enabling developers with the intent to build applications to achieve success on MongoDB as swiftly and effectively as possible. Your work will involve reducing time-to-value, eliminating friction points in the registration-to-activation funnel, and establishing best practices for developer onboarding to Atlas.
• • **Expansion Focus:** This track is centered on assisting existing Atlas customers in growing their usage across new environments, new applications, and larger workloads. You will translate growth potential into targeted product investments and define the strategies for scaling Atlas adoption, both with and without direct human intervention.
• • Regardless of your specialization, you will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, Sales, and Developer Relations, and will be accountable for driving the key metrics that fuel MongoDB's growth.
• • **Key Responsibilities Include:**
• • Owning the product strategy and roadmap for your Growth squad, meticulously defining target segments, end-to-end user journeys, and comprehensive experimentation plans designed to foster scalable and sustainable growth.
• • Identifying and optimizing critical conversion points throughout the Atlas lifecycle, encompassing user registration, initial activation, the transition from free to paid tiers, and the adoption of multiple applications.
• • Leading the development and delivery of product experiences that significantly reduce friction, thereby accelerating developer success. This includes streamlining onboarding processes, designing intelligent upgrade paths, integrating with essential developer tools, and enhancing organization and project management capabilities.
• • Designing, building, and iteratively refining digital growth mechanisms. This encompasses creating compelling in-app experiences, intuitive upgrade surfaces, contextual guidance systems, effective lifecycle messaging, and sophisticated journey orchestration.
• • Defining and instrumenting robust end-to-end measurement frameworks, including event tracking, funnel analysis, and cohort studies, to provide continuous insights into conversion rates, user engagement, and retention performance.
• • Partnering closely with the Marketing team to develop and execute impactful lifecycle campaigns and scaled programs, such as Office Hours, webinars, and targeted nurture journeys.
• • Collaborating with Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless alignment between digital-led growth initiatives and enterprise sales motions, facilitating smooth customer handoffs.
• • Driving the development of AI-native product experiences, including integrations with AI coding assistants, enhancements to agentic workflows, and the implementation of LLM-powered discovery and guidance features.
• • Working hand-in-hand with Analytics and Data Science teams to refine targeting strategies, develop propensity models, design rigorous experimentation protocols, and accurately measure product impact.
• • Championing the creation of high-quality, scalable solutions that adhere to best practices in reliability, security, permissions, and compliance, ensuring the robustness of the Atlas platform.
• • You will be a key player in shaping the future of developer interaction with MongoDB, directly impacting user acquisition, retention, and overall platform adoption.
